My timeline is being pushed back everyday now. I won't hear anything on my holiday break at this stage. Is there any hope to get out of here in March? We can't afford to stay longer than that. We planned as carefully as we could. God almighty please give us July filers some luck. Even if NVC can sort themselves out that would help heaps. I don't want to be in a panic all through the holidays. I am about to get back into WoW to take my mind off this.

your embassy is the fastest known.

so even if you get your noa2 by the end of July and hopefully by then NVC times will go back to normal. Yes there is still a big possibility! Please don't lose hope❤️

PS-I did he exact same thing and started my old mmorpg just to keep myself distracted! It worked wonders!

Ha Ha that's too funny. I actually though about WOW, but I went way back to EQ1 for a laugh. Believe it or not, a lot of peeps still playing, but I'm so lost. Good distraction though! he he

It´s weird, maybe it makes no sense at all,  but one of my fiance´s friend got married in Australia, his wife is Australian and he is American and they flew together, one week later to Florida and they had no problems at all at the Fort Lauderdale Airport and they had their wedding certificate with them. I just don´t get it. They got married with him being a tourist.

well, there´s so many lucky people out there.

You can get married as a tourist in US too but immigrating to US is not legal. You would have to go back and wait for the CR-1 visa to process to be a legal resident.

they may lie at the port of entry, and say she is just visiting. But again that means lying to the cbp. Hence that wouldn't be luck but illegal immigration :)

Well as far as I know it is legal to get married in another country as long as you are both single. As far as her coming back here I would think that is legal also if she is on a tourist visa. However, I would think that if she overstays her tourist visa time then she could be in trouble and she could get deported. With the right lawyer though, I'm sure she could get away with staying here and filing an AOS, even though that is considered visa fraud.

my fiance told me they have been married for almost a year now, and she works.

I am just curious about the fact is US Accepts certificates from another country for AOS

AS long as it is a legal marriage and yes you can get married in another country and it is recognized as a legal marriage. However, I believe there are still rules that apply to where and who marries you. Meaning it can't be someone off the street it has to recognized as legal in that country.

Thank you.I really appreciate that.

I try to speak clear, but not always. ha ha  It's a habit i picked up. I have friends all around the world and it sure helps for them to understand. Especially a non-native English speaker. Plus with my job I have to take classes(training) and believe me there are people from all over the globe and in different time zones in the classes.
