The hardest thing about being a July 2017 Filer is that when we started this journey, processing times for K1 visa were 108 to 122 days...we've seen our estimates get pushed from October and now to January... Had we known, probably most would've taken the CR1 route

If you are legitimately at financial risk, shouldn't you request an expedite? Another July filer has already successfully done that.

Another July couple here

NOA1 recd 11 July (California service centre)

I (Alli) am from Australia and can't wait till that NOA2 arrives!! It's been 4 weeks since my fiancé Rich visited and I probably won't see him again till this is all approved and I can move so I'm keeping a positive mind that that day will come soon!

 

Anyway just wanted to introduce myself and say good luck to the rest of the group

Hello July Filers, It looks like the July interview times will be around Feb  2018, so I was wondering about the taxes for 2017. I think is a good idea to start filing the taxes early in Jan.

Unfortunately most statements needed for tax returns haven't been available to me until later than January or early Feb, and the last day to file is in April so I don't think we need to worry about 2017 tax returns.  I requested my summaries from the IRS for 2014,2015,2016 and received them within a week.  I think if it's Feb for interviews if you have pay stubs and W2 for last year that should be sufficient if taxes not filed yet.  But please feel free to correct me anyone if I am wrong.

So this is the second time my partner and I are filing the K-1. The first time was about 18 or 19 years ago, but we didn't follow through for reasons that are better left in the past. 

But its interesting to note that 18 years ago, we were approved in approx 2 and a half months. 

Too bad it is still not the same

I heard there were 2 more activity happened today.I'll be running a scan again. It may be a little late because I have 3 months before july

 

 however wanted to let you know I didn't forget July

 

 till your time starts I'll be here to support and pass the torch to you guys later 🤞Hopefully sooner 

 

@Geo_nerd82 I'm so hoping these will continue like this little bit everyday and tthey start as soon as June hits 80%

Yes.  The interviews for July filers will be in February.  I'm sticking to that!!!

Did you check how how long it takes to get an interview in average for your embassy?

I'm at the Auckland embassy and they are suuuuper quick.  So that's a good sign.  I'm waiting to see the process for some recently approved folks so I can get a better idea of how long it's currently taking.  Shouldn't be too bad.  I had a bit of a breakdown at work this morning due to the chaos and frustration of my job but also because of this process.  On the bright side, I get a whole bunch of time off over Christmas so that'll be super sweet!!  I'm really hoping we can get out of here in March because I don't know how long I can hold out at work anymore.  I'm going back to being positive about things now though.  I reckon there's still a chance for an early January approval.  We are so close but so far away.  I think January will also get here way quicker than expected.

Haha I know about the stress thing.  I'm gonna be more pro-active about keeping it under control though as you're right, getting sick would be crappy.  Some time off work should be very very helpful.  Only 3 weeks to go until vacation time.  Maybe they'll have started July by then.  That'd be raaaaaddd!!!!
