Got my approval of the 9Feb. Have not checked NVC yet, as I wanted to give them some time. Got an email today while I was having lunch with my fiancee that it is through the NVC and on it's way to the Tokyo embassy. I'm heading back home to the US in a couple of hours. But we are so happy, knowing that soon we will walk through security and into the plane together.

Wow... We were approved February 2 and it is still at the NVC. We have our case number, it just isn't to Rio de Janeiro yet.

It actually makes me not want to check VJ at all but I’m also hanging in there for the people I have grown attatched to over the last 6 months ( John and Rose, Nick and Paula, you, Nadia K, JSCGPV, Lotts) because I care about all of you even though I have never met you and you have all become a part of my journey.  I’m hoping that people  next door are just getting overly stressed and tired of the whole process  and have no where else to vent as they are hurting but it is absolutely no excuse for meanness and bad behavior. I’m sorry you bear the brunt of it when you do SO much for everyone. Xxx

I love you, girl!

Ps. I am a rollercoaster of emotions, sorry guys for any pessimist post / complaining

At this point, we're all super understanding and on the same ship. Sure a lot of people are still awaiting their approvals, but all the batches before us have gotten a reply in 3-4 months.

This sudden and ridiculous increase in waiting time can make anyone lose hope and angry. I just want to know what happened at the office, but noone will tell us... :(

I was hoping to have her here this coming week but that aint gonna happen hahahahaha

I was hoping to be at home and married by now too..........

I just feel so stagnant. I can't plan much in my home-country because I am immigrating, I can't start my life in US because I will have to fly out every other month, and who knows, the customs might turn me away. And that's just a stupid way to spend money. I feel like USCIS is putting a lot of people's life on hold and won't tell us why... :(

I almost don't want to post our news in this thread because of all of our July brothers and sisters still waiting for NOA2, but we got our interview scheduled for March 7th. I can hardly believe how fast the process got after NOA2 (Feb. 3rd).

I know I felt so hopeless when it seemed like our date had been passed over. The stress was overwhelming. If you're still waiting, just know that there's an internet stranger sending positive vibes for you out into the universe.

With luck, we'll have our POE in mid-April :) We'd leave sooner, but you can't miss Easter in Romania, you just can't :P

Don't you worry, sweetheart. I am wanting to hear news like yours everyday. I just want to know how much longer now that I have my approval. I'm sure others feel the same way.

I am happy for you! (L):D

We called the Bucharest embassy this morning to get some questions clarified. If you are going to the Bucharest embassy, here might be some information for you :)

1) I am allowed to come to the interview (petitioner)

2) I don't need any financial statements other than the I-134 since my parents are co-sponsors

3) The only thing I need to prove domicile is a US address (my parents' house)

4) Proof of ongoing relationship should be pictures and things spread out over time to show the "ongoing" part of the relationship - we've selected a few photos and plane tickets from our trips to tell our "story"

5) Also, in addition to above, since I live in Romania, I should bring my permiş de sedere (residence permit) to the interview to show I was in Romania with my beneficiary.

6) She did not say too much about parking, just that you can't park at the embassy. So we will be parking at the Metro store (in the IKEA/mall complex) or under the bridge (LOL, Romania) next to the embassy.

Overall, the woman was very helpful and kind. I think she was the one who scheduled our interview over the email because she knew my fiance's name right away.

After the interview next week, I'll make sure to put all this in my embassy review as well :)

Hello Sarah 😃

first of all i will tell you what they have requested us to submit.

1-passport style photographs of petitioner.

2-beneficiary’s intent to marry you in the united states.

3-Requirement that petioner and beneficiary have met in person (during the two years immediately preceding the filing of this petition).

4- circumstances of meeting.

5- personal meeting(dated photographs of you and benificiary together).

yes,we have already prepared our file and it has been sent through usps on monday 11 February 2018, according to the usps tracking number it will arrive on Wednesday 14 February at 8:00pm.

so we have attached everything :

a full story how we met.

Like pictures dated ,locationed.

Letter written and signed by me

pictures of us together in backhome doing wedding shopping, jewelry, visiting historical places.

we had described every picture attached in-the file, his tickets , boarding passes visting to canada 🇨🇦 from USA 🇺🇸.

We have printed all pictures separately like mentioning dates and locations clicked by my i-phone 7 plus, and we have attached, uploaded  pictures in the file too describing what we are doing and where we met😂😂😂😂😂😜😂😂😂😂

i dn wana get rfe 2 lol or either denial😪

so I mentioned ,stated everything very carefully what they have asked for us to submit.

Thank you so much. My RFE was circumstances that we met physically in the last two years. I’ve made a file with a statement and attached some pictures in the document about us meeting in USA and Canada and also with family and friends.

I sent mine out only today, so hoping they get it soon and then for a reply.  Hope we get it soon.  Did you get your RFE answer back already?

It is tough waiting! But here’s a few ideas of things you can do to make time go by faster:

- check for shots/vaccines necessaries

- check for documents necessary for the interview. For example, I requested a police certificate from the UK which is where I’ve lived aside from my home country, asked my fiancé to get a birth certificate (some have said we may take copies but we had the time, he ordered an original one)

- get vacuum bags and start packing / selling / donating stuff

- if you’re still working, figure out when you’d like to hand in your notice. We were originally going to wait for NOA2 but just had to give that up because I have to leave my flat and if it it comes to it, wait at my parents

- find other ppl that have interviewed at your country and ask them how it went

- make an inquiry at USCIS and also contact your cogressperson. We contacted ours back in December online, they never replied, so we rang them and went to their office

- search for jobs in the US, can’t hurt, right?

And finally, keep our hopes up!!!!
