More optimistically, will that be in the 90 day wedding window? If you get a January NOA2, and say a March POE date. Or are you getting a quick courthouse wedding first and then doing the ceremony later?

Hopefully January/February NOA2 date, then medical and interview at London Embassy in February/March time, then when the visa is approved after the interview it is valid for 6 months (sometimes valid from the date of the medical, i think it depends) so I will move in June and we will get married in july - about 35 days into the 90 day period. Don't worry, we have our timeline all figured out :) well...as much as we possibly can with this kind of situation lol.

Did anyone participate in the #AskUSCIS Twitter event today?

It looks like they didn't answer too many questions. https://twitter.com/hashtag/AskUSCIS?src=hash

Tried a couple of times, today and previous. A lot just points you at their FAQs and average processing times page.

If the best things in life are free, why is a long distance relationship so expensive!?

Two July 02 RFE's came in tonight!!!

I seriously just posted this a few minutes ago in June about this.

------------

Rfe can happen at any time. There are rfes in every month (yes even september)

approvals - if has a more than 1 month difference with what they are processing right now- is an expedited case...

random pickups are a ridicule.

I would believe them accidentally expediting a case over them randomly choosing one that fell from the shelf by luck.

-------

please dont go hopes up and feel down because of it. Believe me when they really start in July, you will know it faster than anyone. Until you see approvals happening continously please do not get too excited. I don't want anyone to feel disappointed.

june didnt start showing up in scans yet.

Four months out I don't think it's an expedited, but, yes, RFE's are quick and easy so they go out first (which we see most mornings). But, I remember the early trickle for May and June started like this around the four month mark. Not a pickup for a while after that, but it's consistent with the pattern I've seen.

Expedite can happen at any time at the process. Someone's city may be flooded, someone may get sick, they may bankrupt if the situation continues, there is no timeline for an expedite.

and rfes has nothing to do with expedite. They may get an rfe at any stage of the process depending on what is it about. You may get a name update or a place update or a simple box forgotten  because something came up at the first level checks. It doesn't have to be something big like a review level rfe such can come when the adjudicator touches and reviews the case.

Its not like like I don't wish its that way. But as here are rfes given like this before that.it is pretty common however it wasn't this obvious before because nobody was waiting this long and nobody was keeping track. 😊

oh and nothing started for June. Seriously those tickles were just like this.. meaning nothing for June.

I think I need to take a break from this forum.  If our approval date goes too far out we might not be able to afford to move.  It's already caused a great deal of financial distress with the delays.  I find myself on the forum here way too much and I am always panicking about the date moving back and things not working.  I can't handle it anymore.  I will have to pray that something comes through in January otherwise we are pretty much screwed.  I am still in disbelief that things fell apart to this degree with the process.  I'm hoping I can control myself and come back after Christmas break and maybe there will be some better news.

It's such a joke. I think someone needs to check a box to earn a promotion...but it's clear they're not trying to help people through Twitter.

Forgive me for the remedial question here, but our NOA1 receipt has a received date of June 30th and a Notice Date of July 5th.  I believe we use the July 5th date for tracking timeline purposes, not the received date on the NOA1 receipt.  Is this correct?

I-129F Sent: June 22nd, 2017 (via attorney) :D

I-129F Received: June 30th, 2017 (USCIS date) :)

I-129F NOA1: July 5th, 2017 (VJ date)

Go to uscis website, do the case tracker and the date that is written there is your official noa1 date (or the date written on your receipt as received date.) that is the date associated with your number.

the other is the date vj uses. Don't know why.
