I’m curious... has any one here been rejected? Is that possible to be rejected in this part?

Yes. But usually not without an rfe or a NOID first.

the most common reasons:

•not being single or not being able to prove that you're single

•not meeting the requirements (you would be surprised how many people send it thinking they can get it without meeting in the last 2 years)

My AOS AP and EAD files are ready 😂😂😂. Now I should start learning how the field offices work! (I have one of the busiest field offices by the way 320 days for AOS 😳)

Just a FYI, I think one of the forms (either Ap or Ead) has a February 2018 expiration date. Make sure when you submit, it's the current one :)

Yes thanks! they will be replaced. I'll also need to add lots of new info starting from my last name (yay) but I wanted to get as much ready and close to a copy paste situation... when the time comes I want to finally say I have time for my fiancé and not forms agaiiiiinn 😂😂😂

- cause I think if he hears me saying "good morning baby they are at this date today" as the opening line for another month he's going to stop answering my calls 😂😂😂

I can call tonight.  Tell me what you did when you called.  Was it giving the beneficiary's passport number and date of birth?  It asks for applicant number and since the petitioner is not applying for a visa, I'm assuming that I give my Egyptian fiancé's passport number and DOB.  PM me tonight and I will let you know.  I have a doctor's appointment at 5pm, but I can call them when I get home.  We were approved on the sixth too.

All they ask for is your WAC number at first. If the case has been received, they ask for full name and birth dates of both the petitioner and beneficiary.

There was one post here asking if any Feb 06 received there case number by now?

Yes indeed. We were approved February 06 and I called NVC right earlier.. Voila! Case assigned!

Question though, how  days will it take before they forward to embassy? I would assume it's electronic forwarding and not mail right? 😁😁

Ours took like two days to be sent to the embassy once the case number was assigned. The CEAC tracker will tell you if it's in transit/ready. Romania uses electronic forwarding...so I am assuming that probably most other countries are using it as well (considering how much they love paper documents here lol).

Hello,

So i am the beneficiary in our visa application (i am Australian), my fiance and 16 month old son are in America waiting on my arrival.

it has been 220 days since we filed and we have still not received our NOA2.

Would it be possible for me to fly to America in the next week or two for 5-8 weeks (round trip) to be with them (under an ESTA)? once we receive our NOA2 in America and contact NVC for case number i can fly back to Australia take medical, get police reports do interview in Sydney and then fly back permanently once approved?

we cant bare anymore months apart, but we don't want to jeopardise our K1 visa also..

any input would be greatly appreciated.

You can travel at any step of this process, however remember entry to US is never guaranteed (but even a denial of entry won't affect the process)

abide the esta esta rules and have your return ticket with you! This is extremely important. Have your noa1 copy or a picture of it in case they ask.

have ties to your home country. If you quit your job entry may be harder than normal. you will need legitimate ties.

do not lie if asked at the port of entry by a cbp agent.

Other than these you can travel! Good luck :)

@JSCGPV thanks!
