There are some strange things going on.  One person asked if they should get pregnant so they can expedite the case...If it were only that easy there would be a lot of filers who are suddenly trying to get pregnant.  We are all going crazy here.  I'm waiting almost 8 months for NOA2 while people who have the NOA2 cannot legally move forward because they are already married.  This is just blowing my mind today.

@John & Rose Do Good and It will come back to You! It May take Longer the expected, but the feeling of doing the right thing, no one can take that away from you..

I'm with you guys. I 'jump threads' a lot too cause it helps keep me sane. I have worked in government positions for the past 7 years, mostly in dealing with the public and helping them find their way through the rules and regulations. I love doing that.

It almost feels like the atmosphere is getting tense lately. Like every little comment that was meant helpful is intentionally being interpreted as malicious. It just sucks the soul out of you. I wish people could lighten up a bit.

I hear that.  I really don't think it is rude to tell them that they are about to commit visa fraud in a country that is already not very immigration friendly.  There is no doubt in my mind that if they get caught with that premeditated misrepresentation, that beneficiary will never legally step foot in the United States.  It really isn't rocket science.

And all of the dishonest people make it that much more difficult for those of us who ARE doing our best to play by the rules.

It blows my mind.

The good news, if there is any, and I say this with a laugh, is this:

When I had my tier 2 call last month, the USCIS agent told me that you know, "Maybe your case is just behind someone that did something stupid and they're trying to get that done so that they can go on to yours."

John, given what I've seen lately, maybe that's happening to you! LOL

I think that a lot of it is that the people who filed from August on haven't really been that ACTIVE. I've been super engaged since I first signed up, so I've seen people ask the same 20 questions over and over. You just build up a collective knowledge, and thus when you answer, you don't sugar coat. I one snapped at someone who ended up being really nice in the end. They were just sick of the same ####### day after day!

True.  The vast majority here are going through a legal process for the right reason.  Those that commit the fraud are the reason this is taking so long right now.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Yeah I noticed that. And let me tell you, I'm Dutch. We don't sugarcoat.

We were at Cracker Barrel one day and they had these super  delicious raspberry sweet tea's. The waitress came up to ask if we wanted a cup to go since we loved it so much, and I was like... but we're still working on our supper and we want desert after so, not yet? Thank you?

My love just looked at me and shook his head.

He has been telling me over and over again that I need to learn how to kiss ### or I won't find a job anywhere in the mid-west. So VJ is kinda my trainingwheels. :jest:

I agree.  This is what it is.  I am not happy about the wait but my love for Rose is as strong as ever.  I will wait and I will continue to try to be the best man I can be.  I believe that my country's security should be a priority.  I am doing this in a legal manner and I don't want cheaters to slide through.  I will wait as long as I have to in order to bring Rose and the kids legally into my country.

I am born and raised in the midwest. I promise, you'll be fine! People in Indiana are NOT especially nice. They're sarcastic and used to blight. I lived in Indianapolis for a while. You'll love it, it's so pretty, but just be yourself :)
