Yes, but some animals cannot hold their waste for that long. Some airlines require a note from the vet certifying that the pet is continent enough to not soil itself during the flight.

Oh gosh.

I know that they usually sedate the bigger dogs. The thought of putting Rowdy on an international flight is not tempting to me.

i don't know where you're going. But for lax (California) they didn't ask for anything from the cat. Only the airline wanted health report.

nobody in the airport even looked at them....

To bring my dog to Romania, I had to have his papers certified by the Department of Agriculture in GA - with the vet fees and their fees, I paid over $250. No one - NOT ONE PERSON AT ANY AIRPORT - ever asked to see his papers. I carried my pupper right into Romania through border control and everything and no one said anything about the damn dog! >:[

My dog is a shih tzu and he fits in a soft bag under the airplane seat, but boy, he was not happy about it.

Some airlines will let you take the animal out of the bag, but not the one I was on. After takeoff, I held him on my lap while he was in the bag. Any time I had to put him back on the floor, he did little dog barks at me. I felt like one of those parents who can't control their kids lol

He was very popular on the flight from Paris to Bucharest. All my seatmates wanted to pet him and hold him in the bag.

Have any of the Feb 6th approved people called the NVC? Thinking about giving a call today.

I was approved 2/3 and I called (again) tonight and they told me (again) to wait a bit longer. I am going to call them every day :)

They are pretty nice and friendly - a lot nicer than USCIS...

Hiya!

1. It is normal; they've been processing out of order since before I even signed up. My NOA1 was July 6, we got NOA2 Feb 8. There were people from the end of July (and August) that heard before me, and many others here.

2. It IS possible that it will be 5/6 months, but really, once you get your NOA2 and things get going to the NVC you will see a lot faster movement.

I suppose, what you could do when you get home, is just start going through your things and focus on the steps of what is next. :)

Thanks for the Info. I suppose the best we can do is be patient. I also downloaded the Uscis app and yesterday it said our case has been active 146 days and then today it said 145 days...going backwards? Does anyone know what that means? Since it's been 219 days in actuality.... This is all quite confusing

The USCIS app that you're using has been incredibly buggy this week. It moved my days around a lot, as well. Also, when I was approved, it didn't even tell me - I had to go and manually refresh it after I got the email from USCIS.

It isn't how long its been active.  It shows when the last update was.  Which app do you have?  In Case Tracker on iPhone you can see the history if you log in.

Are you a July 10 filer?  Your timeline isn't filled out so we can't tell.

What's everyone's wedding plans??

Plans are still evolving, and will have to be finalized pretty last-minute (as they will for all of us -- if any of you are doing one of those blockbuster, $30K+ weddings, I am dying to know how you're managing to pull that off with the awful timeframes this visa process forces us into).  But as it stands right now it's going to be a simple, family-only secular Buddhist morning ceremony on the boardwalk at the beach, heavily inflected with nods to our mutual favorite anime series, which was the reason we met way back in 2004.  Then everyone will be invited to my favorite pizza place, where they have a party room in the back, for the evening reception.  And I'm just going to sit here in quiet desperation and cling to my hopes that it will be available for the night that we need it in a season full of proms, graduations, communions, etc...

Tell us about yours, too!!!  :D

Yeah we are July 10 filers. The attachment shows what I see on the app... not much. I have an android but I can't see anywhere where it says case history. I also signed up online at the official uscis page and where it says case history there is no info either... so really have no idea where we are at in this process.

We have provisionally booked a place for the reception on the 16th June, I hope to have my POE the first week of may. Ceremony could also be there with friends and his family. Dontbwanhz spend a fortune seeing as this process is pretty costly.

Yep.  That is bizarre.  My app shows days since last status change.  Things are strange right now.  It is an episode of Twilight Zone...
