Hi,

When they say July 30 is being processed for NOA2, I have the following questions if anyone can clarify:

1. Is it date of recipt of your case by USCIS or date of NOA 1 issued?

2. When they say July 30 is being processed, does it mean they will complete all July 30 and then proceed to July 31, or while they proceed to July 31, the back dated application may still be pending?

3. My case was received by USCIS on July 28 and date of NOA 1 is Aug 1st, can we expect NOA 2 in the next two days?

Best wishes to all!!

Hi JAZZsal!

We just scheduled our interview at Mumbai Consulate. We first could only get April 27th. Then 2 days later, we  randomly clicked "reschedule" to see that maybe we could find something sooner. Turns out that there was a date available for April 6th that someone must have cancelled.

I believe you can only reschedule once though but I'm not sure. When I tried looking again, it said that there are no appointments left.

Yeah I scheduled my interview and I got 30th March as the new date and OFC I selected as 6th March.

I myself rescheduled it twice and canceled it once, spoke to the helpline and they said we have a total 5 attempts to do the same. So my earlier date was 16 April and then April 27th. My calendar page for scheduling the interview date got locked and I had to send an email to the support team thereafter they informed me that I can now book it and was lucky to find an earlier date. It’s quite risky to reschedule at first they simply push you back more and more!

Oh wow, you got a really good date! Congrats! It does seem risky. I read online that some consulates lock you out for 90 days if you reschedule a whole bunch of times so I'm afraid to move it. April 6th seems pretty soon compared  to  a lot of consulates; March 30th seems really soon!!

Do you think you will stick with March 30th? I'm not sure exactly what is considered to be average.

Good morning everybody and happy Valentine's Day!  (L)

Just a wee bit of intel for whatever little it's worth...

I called the NVC last night, as I've been doing daily for about two weeks.  The lovely woman who answered informed me that my case had just been received that day, but no number had been assigned yet.  They had just received a bunch of stuff from USCIS, and had a bit of a backlog going, so it could take up to two weeks for my case number to be assigned, but I was welcome to continue calling daily in case it was sooner than that.

This is the first I'm hearing of such a backlog...and honestly I don't think it's going to take them two weeks to assign us a number.

Anyway, updating both my timeline and the NVC tracker.  Good luck everyone!  Hope we get heaps of approvals and NVC case numbers today as a Valentine's treat.  :D

Edited to Add: NOA1 7/17/17, NOA2 1/27/18

Hey,

They received my case in the 12th I called yesterday and got my case number so definitely doesn't take 2 weeks. Call again tomorrow 😁

Also, don't forget to check the specific rules for your airline about pets. Some require additional documentation stating that the pet is okay to travel, is able to be in a pet box for the flight, etc.

Pet box is mandatory and no airline will take the pet without that..

Hi everyone❤

This is our first time posting here. My fiance and I applied for our K1 visa on July 10th and receipt the 12th 2017. Since then we have had no updates and no RFE. Our lawyer originally told us it would be 5-6 months waiting for the next update (NOA2) but we are now past 7 months and still nothing. Is this normal? I see people who have applied after us have received RFEs or approvals and people before us have and also not. I'm from South Africa could that be a reason for our long wait? Why have some been touched with later applications and others not?

I'm currently in US on my B2 tourist visa and going back to S.Korea where I live and work on Saturday. We were told that we could be waiting up to another 5 /6 months for the whole process to be completed. Can this be true? That would be more than over a year for everything. We have actually been engaged since Feb 2017 so this has been the longest wait ever and feels like I've been relegated to purgatory...

I'm glad I found this so I can receive some real time experiences and updates. Thanks everyone.

Hi folks,

My fiance and I have followed up this forum for a long time and just got our NOA2 two weeks ago. Congrats to all who got NOA2. Very happy for u guys. For those who haven't got your NOA 2, please don't lose your hope. It s coming soon. ^^

A quick question about New Zealand police check please. Basically,  I lived in New Zealand for about 5 years so obviously apart from my home country's police check, I have to apply for NZ one as well. However, all the information on the internet seems very vague and confusing to me. Is the one from Ministry of Justice fine ? or NZ police vetting ( I dunno if I'm eligible ) ? Which one I should apply for ?

Anyone here have done it before ?

Very appreciated for any helps.

Many thanks, Mayo

Hey Mayo.

When you receive packet 3 from the consulate they give you instructions on how to get it. I dont advise getting it before your case is ready at the consulate, once you have your NVC number you can track your case status.

It's really simple and easy tho. There is a form you get on this page:

http://www.police.govt.nz/advice/businesses-and-organisations/vetting/vetting-process-visas?nondesktop

Click on "Section 14 overseas" fill out the form, scan and email back to them, at the bottom where it asks who is it for, say it's for US immigration, Auckland Consulate. I think its only valid for 3 months though. Mine was sent to the consulate the same day I emailed them to ask for it.

Yay for getting your NOA2!! Hope the rest goes super quick!

Hiya!

1. It is normal; they've been processing out of order since before I even signed up. My NOA1 was July 6, we got NOA2 Feb 8. There were people from the end of July (and August) that heard before me, and many others here.

2. It IS possible that it will be 5/6 months, but really, once you get your NOA2 and things get going to the NVC you will see a lot faster movement.

I suppose, what you could do when you get home, is just start going through your things and focus on the steps of what is next. :)

Yes, but some animals cannot hold their waste for that long. Some airlines require a note from the vet certifying that the pet is continent enough to not soil itself during the flight.
