No, I’m not estranged from my family, but they live in another state.  My mother was just emotionally abusive to me all my life.  I should have expected her to try to ruin our happiness.  That’s ok.  We will elope and visit them later.  We are both 44 and since we have known each other since high school and want to finally start our lives together, that is perfectly fine.  I never wanted a wedding anyway.  I can’t wait to get married.  He first asked when we were 16.  This time, I did.  Or, I just reminded him.  That is quite an age difference.  My first husband was 16 years older and Syrian but already living here.  We ended up having nothing in common.  But, you have known one another for four years.  It’s ok to be rethinking.  It is normal and healthy.  Trust your instinct no matter what and don’t do something just to please other people or because it is expected.  An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.  No, I’m not trying to discourage you.  I’m telling you it’s ok to put faith in yourself.  You’ll be brilliant.

Hey Julies. Tomorrow is the start of a new week and hopefully there will be lots of approvals by mail and online (like it happened on friday). 

 

Question, how long is taking the NVC to process the cases and when should someone start calling?

We also have a lawyer and the NOA2 came to my address in the mail. You should receive it no matter what. If you filled out the G-28 then the lawyer would receive duplicate copies of everything.

Hi all! 

 

We are one of the lucky couples who received our NOA2 and everything has been going very quickly since. 

 

I just want to share my knowledge and warn everyone to get start getting the PCC (Police Clearance Certificates) asap if you need one from another country other than the one you are living at! My fiance needs a PCC from 3 countries: India, UK and Zambia. He is currently living in India and they just said that he actually might have to fly back to Zambia just for him to get the PCC because Zambian police could take too long if it's sent electronically! Even then, it may not be processed in time!! So start now if possible!!!

 

(FYI, UK only takes a few days and India takes about a week)

Hello, I have been eyeballing this page for some time. Never signed up til now. It’s prob the nerves and stress of waiting. My fiancé is from the UK and I’m in so cal. Our NAO1 date is July 5... I’m hoping to hear something sooner than later. We are using an attorney for the before and after process. 

 

Can you add me to the list. Thank you... and I’m curious... all the scans you do.. how do you know what to scan or who is who?

of course I will add you in the next update if you don't get your noa2 before that. When you use a lawyer they usually get it btw and some lawyers don't tell till they get the NVC number. Sid you try asking your lawyer? We had a guy waiting for long time and then realized it's just his lawyer didn't tell him about noa2 yet.

 

I don't know who's who, I don't keep track of who's who. Scans and those names are totally separated. Names I check the status here and see who wrote what.

 

scans are scanning every single case in that month so I don't know or care who's that is.

I am beneficiary from Nepal I got Noa1 in july still waiting for noa2..... We didnt hire any lawyer or attorney ...... Its really pisses me off that we are far away from each other its going to be 2 years in march in that we havent seen each other .... When we applied it was only one year .... We never know uscis would take this much longer to proceed ..... And it cost alot foe both of us to fly over and see each other .... We thought we would be together soon so we denied of meeting each other 😢😢..... Now no noa2 its been 224 days it makes me feel low and sad
