it would be a great Christmas present!!!!

It would, but I am not counting on it. My NOA1 was mid July... I'm assuming I will get mine mid to late January.

June Filers from my estimate, depending on things picking up to 700+ per week, your cases should start in 2-3 weeks.

Yes it is longer than expected. However, this week and next week supposed to be May's peak time.

July Filers should have a rather easy process however we cannot predict the effect of holidays.

Although there may be some case workers coming back from holidays with bunch of status updates (all fingers are crossed ladies and gentlemen)

 Now the numbers;

Virgin cases (As I'll be calling received cases from now on, cause why not? ) of April is going down slowly,

However, RFE's are moving way faster. But May has the weekly 70%, which is good for May filers, as most will finish eventually but awful for rest of us, for now.

AWESOME ANALYSIS! (spooked that this information is so public, but I guess this is empowering)

After taking a quick look at your data, I'm actually getting a bit more worried so hopefully I'm reading it incorrectly. As a July filer and according to the very helpful explanation of the data, the chart suggests that there are approx. 7,650 (950+3100+3600) applications filed ahead of me. The other chart posted tells me that 200-500 applications are reviewed per week (for the past 2 months at least). Although I'm also hoping this changes to between 700-1000+ applications, the monthly actuals suggest that 1400 applications per month (350/week) is the average. This would be equivalent to more than 5 months (1400*5) worth of applications in front of July filers.

I know that there is no exact math to this as the two months are usually being processed at the same time, but that still puts July filers 3-4 months away after already waiting 4 months (big UGH)...

I just remember other posts mentioning that USCIS places manpower depending on which applications are "most delayed" (ie. I-129F vs. other apps) so although I-129Fs are currently experiencing a shortage on manpower (or at least that's what it looks like), I would definitely feel more at ease to know how fast USCIS get these applications done. Do you happen to know (from 2016) how many applications were the most processed in a month? Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As @Naes points out, there are a lot of cases that get approved, but never get updated online. The other months’ forums are full of posts where people received approvals by mail, but never received any text or online approval. Many of these cases still show as pending “case was received”.

Hi guys! I've been reading this topic and May filers thread for a month I think. And I like this place so much)) Just here I can find support and understanding) My family can't listen my boohoo anymore)))

When we with my fiancé had been making  this papers and everything like this we thought that will get our NOA-2 till November. I was so naive😅 We had been dreaming that I can be in USA till Christmas or maybe a little earlier (December 23 my mother in law will have birthday and I was thinking that this will be a great surprise to be there and spend this day together)

Now I understand (and accept) that our NOA-2 we can get not earlier January😔

But! I think after 3,5 months of waiting I'm finally accept that fact that things will goes in this way. So...this make me calmer) And since I've been reading May and July filers thread I feel much better)

Having a calm state of mind is good. I’ve been reading people’s posts and there’s a lot of anxiety in these forums. People need to chill, and realize that having the approval later than expected isn’t the end of the world.

Account for the worst case scenario. Remember that even if you got your noa2 by December, you still wouldn't make it by Christmas. You would have had to account for (1) the week it takes USCIS to send the info to the consulate, (2) your fiancée would have had to make the appointment with the consulate and, upon approval (crossing fingers and toes that we all get to that phase), (3) you would have had to wait another week for the consulate to send the passport back to your fiancée with the visa stamp. So if you expect to get noa2 in January, then seeing your significant other the following month is more realistic.

Look at the bright side... you can always push and aim for the next special date (Valentines?). Just don't put all your easter eggs in one holiday basket, remember you're dealing with a government agency... =/ (When we started our application in July, I think the noa2 process time was 2.5 to 3.5 months so I understand how you feel). All the best in your application process!

Thank you) The same to you))

Oh yes now I understand that we must to do so many things. But in July I thought that i will be eaten Thanksgiving turkey with my fiancée))) Then we pray for Christmas. Now it will be good to get our visa till Valentine's Day or to our anniversary what will be in March 14)))

I was so anxious for 3,5 months but now I'm so calm))

Y'all guys help me with this) I was reading you and then recognized that I'm not alone)))

Wish you all get your NOA-2 asap)) 😊

All I want at this point is for everything to get approved; The government can take as long as they want as long as they approve her visa, lol. This process almost feels like people are suspicious until proven innocent which stinks for all the real applications out there.

Anyways, I'm blessed that I'll be able to see my fiancee this weekend. I've told her that if there is one thing all this waiting has taught us is how much we should cherish the time we spend together, text, etc. Going through this minimizes any argument we have... I mean we are going through this JUST to be together... We keep reminding each other to put everything in God's hands as there is no better place to be (also keeps us from going insane, lol)... God bless y'all =)

I'm in the same boat lol I really don't care how long it takes anymore, as long as this wait isn't pointless (resulting in a denial). I am wanting to go visit my fiance SOOO bad. It's winter here in Minnesota, so the temp has dropped pretty quickly, which, I am obviously used to. But it's summertime in Mauritius where he's at... I'm waiting and saving up for the interview in South Africa so I can be with him for that. I'm happy you are able to see your fiance this weekend. Cherish every second for all of us that aren't able to see ours for awhile xo

Hello July Filers

I know this process is a big pain in the ### but just keep the faith and sooner enough you will all get your NOA2.

Everything happens for a reason in the right time and in the right place.
