Yep, agreed. People can request expedites at any time during the process

If North Korea goes all the way crazy... hope not... but I had to check my options (I'm living in japan but not Japanese.. however if I go back to Turkey as my crazy government stopped visas to US citizens I can't even see him.. so here I am checking every "just in case" things 😂

Oh come on... Trump says, I’m gonna, I’m gonna

and it only takes the Brits and Irish to line up every KJ lookalike (male or female) to say to KJ , Go on then, just try with a big smiley face ... or selfie..

We’ve dealt with so much in our time... we haven’t had dustbins in public places for years.

My fiance and I are going to start selling our stuff soon.  I am putting sparkles and rainbows out into the universe in hopes that this process won't take as long as we are thinking it will or else we're going to be in a real bad way financially (and psychologically at this stage).  I feel for people who are waiting to be with their fiances as well, having to wait so long.  Here's to hoping that the approvals come in sooner rather than later.

I-129F Sent: July 5th 2017

You're in a similar boat to my partner and me.  Flights from Australia/NZ are a fortune and hard to work out logistically since you have to build in so much of a buffer to the trip to account for jet lag.

I wasn't going to have Tiger visit me, because it's just too much money, but the wait is becoming unbearable and being apart for so long was causing our relationship to suffer a bit.  So this week we made arrangements and he'll be here in December with me for several weeks.

Our VJ timeline is currently guessing we'll get word around Christmas or slightly after.  I'm concerned that many CSC staff members will take off for the holidays and this will push adjudication well into January for us.  I had desperately, desperately hoped we would get word while he was here in New York (imagine finding out together, and getting to celebrate that night with my family?), but I'm starting to think this won't be possible.

This is all so hard.  I would gladly pay my share of more taxes to hire more staff so that I and countless others like me don't have to suffer like this!

I'm grateful, of course, that I'll get to see him again before March (which is when we guess he'll actually move here), but I know having to say goodbye to him in early January again will be emotional agony.  :(

@Kat&Joel and @Van & Tiger I know how you feel. Brazil is definitely not cheap to travel to, and I'm already saving to go there for the interview.

Here’s what I started doing:

- translated my birth certificate with an official translator, since I believe we’ll need to marry

- started searching for my vaccinations card (specially my kids one) and will try to take the ones on the embassy website I haven’t had so far (hepatitis, tetanus)

- filled out the affidavit of support form and will take to my American fiancé to sign when we see each other next month. I made two: one with his last years income and another with this years expected income. Made him aware I’ll need his W-2 when it’s ready in January or I’ll need last years W-2, depending on the interview timing and made him aware of the other docs we’ll need

- sent my landlord notice I’ll be leaving my flat by end of march (I’m required to sent previous notice) and started selling stuff I don’t need

- will only disclose to my employer and ask for my resignation once we have the interview scheduled

if anyone else on the foreign side has done extra stuff please let me know!

@marinapoli sounds better than what my fiance is doing. He keeps talking about preparing himself psychologically. That keeps making think that he doesn't really want to move to the US. He doesn't mean it that way, but it sure feels that way. He won't even do research about what forms or documents he will need for the interview. He keeps saying he will worry about it when we get our NOA2. It's really starting to bug me.

Hmm normal 😂 I believe it's even though not always organized vs last minute people! We are like that too! I know every single step already but I couldn't make him finish the petition when we were doing nothing for 2 months. Then he ended up finishing everything in a week.

I believe it is a perfect couple arrangement other than some moments when you'll want to hit your (or their) head to the wall.. but there will always be someone whose relaxed and keep your stress levels down!

i need to believe this otherwise I'll definitely go crazy

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. Although, his lack of urgency even applied to him getting me the documents I needed for the petition. Trying to be patient, but today I lost it. I feel bad.

@ Kat & Joel  e @Van & Tiger Eu sei como você se sente. O Brasil definitivamente não é barato para viajar, e eu já estou salvando para ir para a entrevista.

Unfortunately Brazil is pretty expensive

Hey guys :)

Has everyone else got quite a long 'predicted' waiting time for their NOA2? we received our hard copy of NOA1 on July 24th/25th but VJ is predicting that we won't get NOA2 until november 28th-December 4th...seems like a longgggg wait!! between 4 and 5 months to be exact! Is everyone else pretty much the same?
