Question: Do you guys base your dates from your submission date or the day USCIS received it? I submitted mine July 31st and was received Aug 2. So im kinda caught in between.

My received date was July 21st, but the NOA1 notice date said July 29th. That was the day that Visajourney said to put in my timeline. And my NOA2 date was January 26th, but I received it February 3rd.

For the sponsorship forms it asks for immigrants savings and checking account balance..  do you just put down the amount or do you have to convert it to USD?

Hi, I’ve had a job paying 60k annually for past 13 years but lost job on 28th and received approval on 29th. Is my only chance for approval a co sponsor? I am aggressively looking for a new job. I’ve been employed 13 straight years. Talk about timing ; (. Thank you.

That makes you an August filer, not a July filer.

Hello All - I am July 3rd filer who got a RFE dated Jan 29. Once I return the information, approximately how much longer for the NOA2? 

 

It's especially disappointing because the requested information was provided. Seems like I will have to just lay it out more clearly.

Man I completely understand.  Tiger and I were in the same boat -- and, I'll admit, even with NOA2 in hand, a tiny little voice at the back of my mind that I can't quite kill keeps whispering, "You know some huge roadblock is coming your way, right?  You know there's no way this is all going to work out, right?"  And it's really hard to battle that.

Wish I had some advice for you or something, but I think @John & Rose kinda nails it with the advice that he posts, about being gentle and patient with each other, remember why we're doing this, etc.

(This is going to sound terrible but if you ever want to put your own situation into perspective, go and lurk in the January filers forum.  For however awful I felt about how long Tiger and I have been separated, at least we hadn't just filed...and godspeed to those poor souls!)

Hello Everyone Welcome to another dreadful weekend 

(This is the one and only place where we don't like holidays!)

 

How are your packing and getting ready activities going?

 

After packing for a 2 whole day (still not finished!)

I'm sitting in a living room with oh so many boxes creating the perfect fortress around me!

 

Note that I feel old now....Every single muscle and bone is hurting in my body......

 

I'll be sending my poor giant fiancé with tiny woman shoes and dresses to US next time he comes... So the possibility of someone checking the suitcases is killing me (of any type of laughter you can imagine...that will be hilarious)

With this weeks movement comparison between June-July, I can now officially say July is the main month!

We all have friends waiting in June, and continue supporting them, however finally we are seeing USCIS moving forward!

 

I am still waiting lots of NOA2 approvals by mail, as you can see on the weeklies, that there are dates with close to no update online!

Please remember to get yourself Informed delivery unless you like bigger surprises (Me don't) And as we saw repetitively this week,

the dates they don't work online brought us lots of approvals.

While my fiance is patient and willing to wait, she is not very optimistic that we will be approved.  No specific reason, other than she too has had a difficult life.  She grew up in Russia and Belarus.  After our last visit together in October, she said that she did not want to meet again in-person until our K1 visa was approved.  She said it hurts too bad to say goodbye after each visit.  I am the opposite.  I would say goodbye over and over, if it meant that I could spend a week with her each time.  But hopefully, we are getting closer to being approved.

i understand how she feels . a July 28th beneficiary here and just had a mental breakdown because yesterday's scans ended at 27th July . so on one hand , i'm like it's so close , i'm afraid i'd mess something up or not have enough money for DS-160 , medical and vaccines if i need them .

 

on the other hand , i have to torture myself through the weekend for Monday and hope to be approved promptly . very contradicting feelings there . 

 

anyways , at this point i'd rather wait for the K-1 visa than go home and meet my Baby for a few weeks . leaving home is tough . i did it 2 times . the last time i postponed leaving home for a week .

 

i'm depressed as hell . i just want to go home . but having to leave again is heartbreaking . it's especially tough for us fiancés right now because NOA1 to NOA2 is suppose to take 4 months , not almost going 7 months .

 

those with fiancé having a hard time , my best advice is find something to do . spend the last months with their famIly and friends , re-visit all the beautiful sites in their respective countries . i understand it's tough . but no matter how long a Visa takes , after that , it's going to be tough to leave U.S. for awhile . they'd be surprised how fast time goes by when you don't think about approvals yet .
