Question for you both. Knowing what we know . Are we better in terms of processing times by the USCIS compared to this time a month ago? I see alot of variablity going on (some May and June people still waiting while July filers are already getting NOA2s). I know you both do a great job in terms of providing us the scans everyday to keep us aware. It is greatly appreciated.

That makes sense.  So why not add some clarification?  ("If you are a K-1 filer, proceed to question #X.")  It'd extend the length of the form a bit, but make it a bazillion times easier for people to understand.  I assure you I am not a stupid person but I have found myself repeatedly flummoxed in this process.  Which is why this forum has been so helpful!

I bet someone with UI and UX experience would make mincemeat of the current form and turn out something simple, clear, and beautiful!

...YES YES EVERYONE I know that that's not how government stuff works!  I'm an idealist, don't judge.

Ahahah well the answer is one word "uscis"

but we can discuss and disagree that's how we find new solutions and answers to the problems :) at least we are civil and not rude to each other! Cause it is not anybody's fault that bs is happening

Started later so as the start of a month it was late so the average looks worse because the earliest was 190 days already for July but for June it was 168 days.

but approval and movement is faster.

if August "starts" before 8th of February, that will mean they are not going worse. If it starts at least slowly at 5th of feb. that will mean they are trying to recover.

but I wouldn't expect too much recovery yet as August already hit 180 days.

New here. Hi. I'm not sure I'm in the right place. :)

We filed on July 31, 2017. We are hoping to get a letter, email, or text soon.

The waiting is awful...

July 31st here too, the waiting is awful. But I feel like they are going to start with out date sooner than expected, Maybe in two weeks. So let's try to be patient, and good luck to you!

Ahhh guys you are all saying a lawyer doesn’t know anything and I’ve been less freaked because we used a lawyer and I was confident and now I’m eeek.

of course nobody’s fault- I would rather go off your experiences and appreciate the honesty. But is using one useless? Just wondering because if so maybe we shouldn’t pay the extra money haha.

Hope everyone is feeling hopeful and calm!

(I’m not, but I thought I would say it and lie to myself)

Some are maybe good...

i know in May people were swearing off it (who is btw still waiting )

and my worst cases are, them not putting and sending the correct paperwork (forgot half of the things that they should have add) and not informing people on updates(such as rfes)

We did go with a lawyer that only focused on immigration but it just worries me because as I previously said I did overstay due to a medical issue (basically had several panic attacks before my flight as it was around the Paris attacks and flights were having emergency landings due to threats, I mean who wouldn’t have freaked out right) but not the 180 days on ESTA just the 90. But I also have a mental illness (sigh, right?) and that had to be mentioned in the petition and my lawyer said none of this would be a problem and that he sees no reason for either a RFE or a denial. Sorry to overshare I just thought it would help understanding and me probably to shutup as we are all freaking out.

90 days is salvageable, over 180 wouldn't be salvageable that easily. You may need to explain this at the interview though.

mental illness, you need to get from your doctor saying you're no harm to yourself and people around you I believe. This also should be presented at the medical. And you will probably have a psych evaluation at that stage.

I think; None is something that will come up at this stage.

What does the tracker say when you enter your wac number in uscis website?

Ahh that’s what the lawyer did say, that because I didn’t overstay 180 and it’s been 2 yearsish since I have returned it shouldn’t be a problem but I will have to explain it at the interview.

And with our our petition I didn’t provide a letter from my doctor saying any of that, but I can get one if we are approved. Do you think not having it with the petition would be a problem?

I have never been on medication and I finished our my therapy and now am honestly pretty much fine, so I’m assuming things shouldn’t be.

And it says case case has been received. The only thing I know is we didn’t have to provide a affidavit of support according to the lawyer because my fiancé earns above the poverty line, everything else seemed fine.

(Also thanks for the help, I am eased, you’re wonderful)
