Well, I'm seeing some people in the May 2017 filers forum getting their NOA2's, so I'm assuming it'll be another two months before the first of us start getting ours! Fingers crossed! Maybe after October 5th thing's will speed up more.

Here’s hoping to it being less than two months.

The best piece of advice I can give you all is to take the estimate with a pinch of salt.

When we originally applied in April, our estimate was the middle of July. It kept being pushed further and further back and we eventually were approved on the 7th September.

As difficult as it is, please try to mentally prepare yourselves for your NOA2 to take 5 months. Anything sooner is a blessing!

Ahhh I'm not going to be to far from you, I'll be in Lincolnton North Carolina :)

Good Evening everyone...

Hows the waiting going??

So I just wanted to give some advise if anyone is planning a trip to see their loved ones, we are all worried about customs and whether they let you through or not (I know I was). I took everything I needed, copies of the paperwork, loads of evidence, paper work to show I was coming back to England even a letter from my HR department and it was all FINE!

They never asked to see anything, they asked me the same sort of questions they usually did, other than

How did you meet?

When did you meet in person?

How long am I staying? etc

Then said WOW myspace that was a long time ago is it still around..... I never took any hold luggage just packed up a hand luggage I had landed and out of the apartment to my OH within 30 minutes.

Now its depressing being back here, back at work and playing the waiting game!!

Hey! Do you have the link for the May 2017 filers forum? I know someone posted links here earlier but I can' t find them.

Btw, I also visited in September and it was all fine!

It's possible in November because some very early May filers are starting to get NOA2's, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it. Who knows though, anything is possible and things might pick up.

There are lots of NOA2s coming in mail without an update on case tracker.

Yeah it's probably a long shot but I just felt like being ridiculously optimistic for a minute.  I want us to all have hope that this process will speed up.  If I have to wait until December that will be okay as well but it will certainly make things a bit more challenging.  I'm holding on to hope for everybody.  Good luck to all.

Am I right in thinking, going by the processing time line, our visa's should be finished in March sometime?

We got our NOA1 on the 17th July 2017.

I'm thinking NOA2's in December at the latest.  The rest of the process depends on which consulate you'll be working with.

Same here. When I signed up on VJ, I was getting an estimate of early November. Now it’s at December 1.

Yeah I am working with that date too, hoping the NOA2 comes out in December and interview is scheduled for February and visa comes out in March.  I have no idea how my consulate handles visas, anyone knows where we can research that? Thanks!

Hi all, new member here.  So grateful to this site for all of the advice and camaraderie.  I don't know a single person in my life who's gone through this, and it's been a really lonely process so far, so it's nice to finally have others who are going through it with me and understand how it feels.

My partner is in Australia and I am here in New York.  We talk constantly on Google Hangouts and Skype, but it's not the same and I miss him more and more as time goes on.  This has been really hard for me, and because finances and time off from work preclude us from seeing each other until he gets that mythical one-way plane ticket, the waiting is just that much harder.

I've known him for 13 years as an online friend who was super into the same obscure anime as me, but it was only this past May that we met in person for the first time.  Needless to say, we really hit it off.  He'll be moving into my studio with me and I imagine cohabiting with another person in such a tiny space is going to be really...interesting!

Any fellow New Yorkers or those with Aussie partners?  Hit me up!

Good luck to us all, and may our waits be as short as possible!

Hi everyone! I applied for my K1 Visa on November of 2016 and it was approved on February of 2017. I'm here because I decided to record a video telling my k1 journey. I'm from Venezuela so the video is in Spanish. But hope I can at least help those Latin people in here :)
