80 days in. Hopefully, we're more than halfway there.

71 days here... Not too far behind you. I'm spending some spare time learning Portuguese to more easily communicate with my future mother-in-law. Although, starting online courses for school will help make the time pass faster too.

Approx. 2 months left. Thought that processing times would be faster by now (like it was last year at around the same time)... Bummer...

Thanks for your quick reply! I'm wondering how much money I would need to make in order to be sufficient for the both of us? I'm a photographer and work for myself so getting a 9-5 job would only be to get through this part. Do you know how long I would have to keep the job? Do I need the job for a certain amount a time to start?

As far as a sponsor, I think my mom would sign on for that but I'd like to give her details before I talk to her. Does anyone have any links with more co-sponsor information? I've seen a few but there seems to be an inconsistency with the information.

Ugh, this is making me so nervous now!!!

Here is information that will answer many of your questions. https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/support/i-864-series-forms-faqs.html  All I did to arrive at this answer is to use google. Then once at travel state I use their search button. :)

Is anyone starting to get nervous about the second part of the process after NOA2? I feel like I stressed myself out so much getting our packet together and all the documents and filling out all those stupid N/As lol :P

Now I'm thinking, OMG, what do I need to be doing now so when we get NOA2 I can jump into action?

My parents are co-sponsoring for us, so I guess I could ask them to start working on their copy of the affidavit of support?

I'm a bit worried about the military service document...FI is in the military here and you can't get your service document until you're discharged? So he would need to quit before the interview? But from what I understand it can take two weeks to some months to quit...anyway maybe you can see why I'm already stressed.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. You're the petitionary (USC) and he is the beneficiary (Romanian Citizen and in the Military)? Do I have that right?

He should not have to quit the military just to produce a document. Do a little more research using Google and also try the sub-forum for Romania and someone there might know. Keep in mind that this forum is for those of you that want to bond together while waiting for your NOA2 application approval. Most here are doing this for the first time so may are pretty much newbie's and may not be able to answer you question concerning all things Romania. I'm just saying.

Here is some additional information http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Romania&cty=Bucharest

Here is the US Consulate reviews from others who have gone before you. If someone there is still active you might pose your questions to them. http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?trim=no&cty=&cnty=Romania&page=1&dfilter=3&topic=K1 Visa

Yes, I am the petitioner. I only noticed the information about the military stuff while I was digging through the PDF for the consulate. I'll have him ask at work about it - chances are they'll know more

Well, I'm seeing some people in the May 2017 filers forum getting their NOA2's, so I'm assuming it'll be another two months before the first of us start getting ours! Fingers crossed! Maybe after October 5th thing's will speed up more.
