July 2017 I-129F Filers

Anyone pretty far in to their Affidavit of Support?  (Which I've been doing "NA" for as discussed...meh.)

 

Question 38: "I [DO OR DO NOT] intend to make specific contributions to the support of the [beneficiary]."

 

I don't know, do I?  It lists as examples if I will be providing money or room and board.  Technically, while Tiger is unable to legally work for a few months after his arrival, I will in fact be providing him with a place to stay and covering our expenses.  But that's because he's going to be my husband, duh, not because he's like my boarder or something.  So would I answer that I "do not intend" to do this?  Anybody know how this question gets answered?

Chose do intent, then at the additional info specify the part and write "N/A - Filing for K-1 Visa"

I find this answer really good btw.

In my case though, I will check "yes" because I also read somebody put no and got a problem.

In the new revised I-134 form dated 2018 - Question #38 now regards contributions.  If we are to follow VJ's example, you would still leave the yes/no boxes "unchecked".  But now, your explanation is submitted in Part 7 on page 8 of the new form.  

You will do this:
3.a. "Page 4"

3.b. "Part Number 3"

3.c. "Item Number 38"

3.d. "N/A (K1 Visa Process For Permanent Residence)"

You're basically giving the same information as in the old I-134 form, but, in a different location:

In my case, after reading through so many different ones, I decided to put yes and than explain at the additional space.

 

I saw no-one get rejected by checking yes, but heard about 1 rejection because of no.

I would always go for the most positive answers and explain later. This can never hurt. Maybe they think we will let our fiance/spouse homeless and starving until aos? USCIS always assumes thr worst of us

I was just looking at that last night, and I wasn't sure how to answer it either.
