Technically it is the 100% for the K1, but I have heard where some embassies ask for 125%. That is what is needed for AOS anyway.

Translating this % to dollar, how much money per year it would be necessary to match the min income for the K1 visa... maybe that's easier for some of us to understand...

sponsors can support they beneficiary at 125% of the Poverty Guidelines.

here is Poverty Guidlines.

We received NOA2 approval through the App on friday but we still haven't received the text or email, is this pretty normal? Also, will it be about 5 business days before we receive the NOA2 hard copy?

Does the website back up what the app told you?

I just realized we need to double check whatever word comes out of uscis... doesn't matter electronic or verbal! 🤣

Text and email is not important as long as uscis website shows it approved. 4-10 days for hard copy.

They don't always use the text or email notifications. Just like they don't always update online.

Ha Ha that's what I thought about doing, too. Doesn't matter where as long as it's a legal U.S. wedding within 90 days of P.O.E.

There are lots of NOA2s coming in mail without an update on case tracker.

Heck yes!!! We don't want to have a huge extravagant wedding because it's too stressful so Vegas would be rad. I am stoked now. I thought it wasn't an option for some reason.

My other option I thought would be cool was stopping in Hawaii for a cheap beach wedding then flying to the mainland. The Vegas wedding would be sweet though and I might still do that, but I live in the Midwest so that means another flight and more expenses.

Thank you so much, I don't know if that's accurate. But you rock!

That's vj but it is "average" so it can be shorther or longer. The official websites only show how long it takes to issue.

personally, I would find someone on vj who went through it recently and check how it happened for them.

for example for me japan says 38 days right now on average, but I know May filers who got it in 3 weeks from NVC to interview.
