Thank you @Naes.  As always, you are the queen of the forums.  I'm excited for you to only have 85 more days of work.  I'm counting down as well but I can't put my resignation in yet.  Maybe I'll just run out screaming when the days comes.

I'm right with you on that one!

The dress was the first thing I did for wedding planning lol I ended up spending 2x what I wanted but it was worth it

Sameeee!!!

I lost the dress I wanted by a week, they took it out of their designers list.. I ended up getting a dress that was a similar style with 1/4 of the price though...

My mom wants to try to ask a tailor in Turkey if we can make the other dress I really wanted, but this process gave me whole different insight in everything about the wedding.

I am like it is all about one day. Just 1 day when I waited to be with my love for months!

(Romantic in me though discusses against this logic.. I have a feeling I will end up with 2 dresses...)

Ah I know! At first I wanted a court wedding but the romantic in me kept making things bigger and bigger...now it's an 100+ person reception albeit in our backyard. What kind of dress did you want originally? I have to wait until I graduate so I can go home and do all the wedding dress/prep stuff... although I also think I'm not going to care whether I get married in a potato sack as long as I get to spend the rest of my life with my fiancee.

I like bohemian easy to wear and move things so I finally found this place in Australia, and was going to try the dress when I get to LA. Then a few months later they renew the styles of their designs and 1 was removed (guess which one 😂😂)

i love organizing anything doesnt doesn't even matter if it is my wedding so it's fun! But yeah I'd like to have a potato sack if they'll let me be with him faster... if there's a bet going on with uscis count me in!

Hahaha who knows? They might add that to the list of requirements cause it's not long enough already *eyeroll*

I can definitely get behind an easy to wear and comfortable wedding dress! Although my personal favorite is anything with a mermaid silhouette and I'm a sucker for bare backs.

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone could help us. Our petition was received on the 28th July, however 6 months after, we have received no word and are very worried. I tried submitting an inquiry via the USCIS, but the website did not approve the inquiry, stating that our estimated processing time has no elapsed yet, which makes us very worried and confused.

I know many from reading this thread that many July filers are delayed as well, but I was wondering if we might have missed something out, because forumers have stated that this part takes 3-4 months, but mine has be idle for 6 months.

I'd like to ask, after receiving the online update that USCIS has received our petition on 28th July, 2017, is there anything else we were suppose to do? That is the NOA1, right? There is nothing to fill up or submit after receiving that, yes?

Next question is, I have visited my fiancé in U.S. once since we submitted our petition but seeing that 6 months has already elapsed since our petition has been received, do you think it's okay to go back home to be with him or should I stay in my country to wait for the interview date before visiting so that my return date agrees with the interview date? 😳

Please help, and thank you in advanced. ❤

Not "many" all july filers are as delayed as you are. The furthest date they show movement so far is july 24th as of Friday.

yes, that notice you received is noa1 and the dates according to that makes your noa1 date.

As  long as the website shows a date before your received date, you are considered in normal processing times, so don't worry you're not alone.

They are doing mainly june june and july at the moment so hopefully you will hear something within the month.

Thanks so much Naes! That makes me feel a lot less jumpy. Anybody tried to submit an inquiry?

Even June filers cannot submit an inquiry online. the date on the USCIS website has to be August 1 for July to be able to submit an inquiry.

You can try doing it on the phone, but again even June filers are having a hard time with it at the moment.

The delay started since April filers, so the wait got really long for everyone, (about 190-220 days on average)

You are pretty close so I would wait a little bit longer, no panic necessary yet it is not an extraordinary situation at the moment.
