@SilverMonk

hey

so I couldn't find it (I talk a lot so it is hard to find...sigh)

these are the reasons I came up with after research and reading whatever I can find:

1) administration wants more scrutiny.

   So they send more rfes comparing to previous years. This has been in the reports of uscis and immigration researchers too. Hence we see really weird rfes this year, people get rfe for things they sent (this happened a lot)

2) administrations immigration policy scared people, this caused more naturalization petitions (I believe the number was around 700.000 more than normal years. Also h-1b and daca scare added to this number

3) federal freeze stopped them from increasing the headcount of employees, and if they change 1 employee they only end up with a newbie so less veterans on the job (also why we get really weird rfes recently)

4) the year of elections usually happens like this and we see an increase in petitions. However researchers also say this normally stops right after the election. However this year it didn't.

5) they increased the fees and also caused more people to apply. However this also caused more rejected files because people sent the wrong fee especially during the transition. Also the forms changed this year, causing again rejections and more rfes (especially for g-325a in April May)

This is what I can remember at the moment. :)

Thanks for the explanation! I was reading up on that stuff here and I was able to find more or less what you said there. I'm still gonna continue to try to find any information that I can for now. Then I'm gonna try forget about the process for a little or else the anxiety will kill me and slow down time lol.

But thanks again for the information and good luck to us all!

I would say that's the best course of action as you just started :)

I'm sure the rest of you put as much stock in the VJ NOA2 estimate as I do, and are probably checking it as (in)frequently at this point, but I am curious...Those of you who recently received an NOA2, was your timeline estimate accurate?

Ours says any day now, and I know that lots of other July 10 filers have been approved in the past week, but I'm not holding my breath.

I included g-325a. I'm August. How does this cause rejections or rfe? I thought extra information is A Ok?

I don't think G-325a is going to cause any rfe or rejection, because before filing mine in i did read other forums and at the end of the day its the same info as you provide on the mane file, and you are just double verifying all your and beneficiaries information.

I'd also like to know how accurate the estimate in fact is.

Just an October filer lurking. I’ve seen people pass their date and have the NOA2 come before their date. USCIS is something that I can’t wrap my head around because there’s no telling how accurate your VJ date will be :wacko:
