If you look at it historically, cases slow down during the winter because of the amount of holidays - and people taking PTO for work.

It's not been THIS slow, but it's not really thanks to El Presidente.

Yeah, I guess that is true. Especially regarding time off. But I feel like its taking too long now. I have an acquaintance then applied for her fiancé around July 2016 and then came to pick him up during Xmas of that same year.

I hope they hire more employees or change some policies to speed up the process because I just applied (January 17th) and I'm feeling anxious already lol. And I don't even have my case number yet.

Haha. I know the feeling. I'm a July 17 and my anxiety has only gotten worse. Indid call today and am waiting on a call back from tier 2. Hopefully they can tell me something to tease my nerves.

Well... They pulled the shenanigans that they are only working on June 1st. Blah. I asked if it had been assigned yet, and she said, no it is still pending and California is on June 1st and mine is July 17. What a joke.

You know...there are a lot of things I take offense that my tax dollars are supporting (pointless wars/foreign adventuring, subsidizing certain agricultural products that make people sick and overweight, tax cuts for people so wealthy they won't even notice the extra money let alone use it to prove trickle-down economics isn't a crock of you-know-what, among other things), and I have a new item to add to my list!

FEDERAL EMPLOYEES GETTING PAID TO LIE TO PEOPLE.

Literally my tax dollars are paying for these people to LIE to us!  This would be funny if it weren't so sickening.  Who do they think they're fooling?  We're not stupid, but they're treating us like a bunch of clueless morons.

Just own whatever the problem is: these people are horrifically overloaded/understaffed, they're incompetent, they're apathetic, whatever.  Own it, and stop lying to us.  I'd be far more forgiving of this ludicrous process if it weren't so transparently disingenuous.

Once this process is over, I may be able to laugh. Right now, it is infuriating. We are being punished for following the law and going about things legally, and there are many people waiting much longer than I have. It's ridiculous.

They told me the same thing yesterday.

I know it hard to remain objective, but I am constantly reminding myself of a few things:

1. I am lucky to love someone enough to go through this

2. There are people who applied before me who are not approved

3. I have my health and the ability to distract myself from this

and

4. There are other people just as deserving and in love as I am, and I am happy that they are getting approved.

Very wise words here.

Oh Boy... I am tired of their lies. They talk to you as if you are in first grade. I spoke to Tier 1 and 2 they both told me "USCIS is working on June first" so I pointed out according to USCIS notice they were working on June filers on October 31 as you can see it on top of your grid. Their answer was "I don't know what do that date is, its a wring date". You are kidding me right..... Sorry about my complains....... I just had to let this out lol..... anyways congrats to all the approvers today.

I feel you, but you HAVE to try to have humor. Trust me, I am angrier than all get out that people AFTER me are getting applied. But did they ask for that? No. Are they trying to make me feel bad? Nope. They're just excited. I'm still angry. I'm upset. I feel punished and like it's never going to end.

But it will, and I will laugh. Because darn it, I will choose to.

Oh, I agree. I know we aren't guaranteed our petitions will be done before others. I am angry at the system. However, I will not let anger take over. It's not worth it. For now, I'm planning our wedding and saving money. It will all work out in the end.
