I'm trying to visit my fiancee at least every 3 months too! Our NOA 1 is stamped July 13. This has to be the hardest part.

The USCIS timeline says they're just now processing February 2017 applications. Hopefully it being a short month will work in our favor! :)

Yea I hear you... the problem is though because of fear that Trump would change immigration laws:ranting:, there were more visa applications in February than in June and July combined...even more in January...

I try not to focus on NOA2 and just countdown to the day I'll go visit my fiancée again:clock:...at least the latter is predictable... lol

Yeah I agree...counting the days till the plane ticket is better. It doesn't look like he's touching marriage laws...yet! At least we're alreayd filed. Usually if they change the policies, it'll only impact incoming applications, not pending ones.

I was a bit worried when I saw the news about Russia, but thankfully Romania and the US are like, BFF right now.

I started filling out the affidavit of support form and wow, am I confused. I'm going by the instruction document and I still can't figure out what info goes where, especially since we have a joint sponsor. Does anyone know if the joint sponsor also has to fill out a separate affidavit? Or do I just submit one with all of our info and separate tax returns?

NickandKat,

today i called the USCIS and said that they are having a back up and to wait another 30 days to receive the NOA 1. If not to email csc-ncsc-followup@uscis.dhs.gov , which is the california center. So now they are gonna have to make me wait 60 days for a NOA 1. WTH.

Hey carlosr86,

thanks for the info. We're probably still gonna call them too, maybe they're gonna tell us something different.

I really have hope that our NOA1 date is in July/early August and we'll just receive it later so nothing is delayed
