"Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between December 4, 2017 and December 10, 2017* "

 

I was assuming that was the whole process. Is that just a predicted time for NOA2 approval?

Yep, sorry to tell you that's the estimated time to get NOA2 right now, 4 months minimum. But do not despair, things might pick up the pace again before they get to July

I just checked this site:

and it says

I-129F	Petition for Alien Fiance(e)	K-1/K-2 - Not yet married - fiance and/or dependent child	January 1, 2017

 

Can that be correct?  It's only processing K-1's submitted in January?  I really hope I am reading this incorrectly.  Is it for the NOA2 or for the complete process to be done, including after it was sent to the consulate and interviews scheduled?

Yep, sorry to tell you that's the estimated time to get NOA2 right now, 4 months minimum. But do not despair, things might pick up the pace again before they get to July

 

 

 

Oh wow! that is a long time, but even though I'd like it much sooner, that would be a better timeline for me to work with. I plan on being there for the interview and with that time line it would be much easier for me to get time off at the first of the year.

I think you got that from the USCIS site. That information is only updated as of May 31, 2017. You can get a better idea of the current processing times from VisaJourney.

I hope you are correct, but the bottom of that page says - Last Updated: July 18, 2017

My fiance and I hired lawyers to guide us through the process and they said current processing time at UCIS for the 1-129F is 5-6 months.

No that is simply for approval of the petition/129F. The time line my lawyer gave us is the following:

 

"Processing the K-1 petition takes 5-6 currently based on UCIS trends. Within 4 – 6 months of approval, the K-
1 visa petition will usually be forwarded to the U.S. State Department’s National Visa Center (NVC),
which will in turn send the file to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate overseas.

 

The foreign fiance will then be required to
appear for a consular appointment, during which the consular official will ask both about foreign fiance's
admissibility into the United States and about his relationship with you.

 

(Please note that total processing
times are roughly 10 -14 months. However, this estimate is subject to change based on Service Center
workload. Moreover, if a request for evidence (RFE) is issued, this could further delay the case.)"

wow that is the longest timeline I've seen.  Makes me a bit worried now.

Yeah but that is just the information our lawyers gave us, it also depends what country the foreign fiance is from. I am sure UK is a faster process than South Africa, for example. Everyone's experience is different! But I am expecting it to take about a year in total from start to finish-- hopefully it goes faster!

Thank you! My NOA2 took a while to get here. Hopefully yours will get here sooner.

In hindsight....I would not have signed up for the tracker....I checked it 10 times a day...every day....since February 2nd  (and it still says my "case was received" as of today).
