We are about to fill out the affidavit of support form to bring in to the interview when the time comes, we want to fill it out just in case even though the embassy claimed we don't need it but everyone else says we do.

I-134 is the correct form?

Most of it is fairly simple to fill out except for line 38. since this is a fiance visa and not a traditional immigration visa how is this form supposed to be filled out to show that the petitioner is sharing all assets with the fiance/wife? After all, this is not a family member that need support but someone who is getting married.

The choices are:

"I intend/ do not intend to make specific contributions to the person named in part 2."

The embassy will not answers any questions about this other than we don't need this form and USCIS said they cannot answer questions, you can only make an appointment at their nearest immigration office that is over 2 hours away.

And the other thing we are wondering about is if we need a co-sponsor. My fiance has been unemployed for the last months and is still looking for a job, he has a income as a 100% disabled veteran which is 3300$ a month, but most of it goes to pay his child support and alimony to his ex wife. He is working with the VA to do voc rehab to be trained for a new career. His parents agreed to co-sponsor if necessary but we hope that won't be the case.

i-134 form is correct.

We put on the space below the questions "N/A (K-1 Visa Process for Permanent Resident). You can also check "Do not intend to" box as this is more for J-1(internships) and work visas where a company is sponsoring the person and they will give a certain amount annually like a salary.

I am also wondering if the letter from the bank is really required. My salary is more than double the required income - do I need additional supporting documents other than a letter from my employer, tax returns, W2s, and pay stubs?

Hello...I made a post yesterday in the K1 forum regarding my questions about the I-134. Can I send you a private message of my questions, or can you go read the one posted and give me your feedback? I thought my stress was done after the petition and 5month wait. But nooooooo.... they keep the stress at a maximum. I'm just surprised more people dont have questions about the Affidavit of Support.

Yes, I-134 is the correct form.

For question 38, I checked "yes", then on the additional info section, I put "N/A K1 visa process for permanent resident." I saw around here that it was the best way to handle that question, as the "specific contribution" question doesn't apply to K1 applicants.

You will need a co-sponsor if you don't make over 100% of the poverty guidelines. Seeing as how a lot of his money does not stay with him, your fiance will probably need a co-sponsor.
