So, yes, I am not a patient person. I know that from life experiences. But....I sent my 129f in on January 29th and USCIS received it on February 2nd. I received the NOA1 dated February 6th. At this point I am not confident I will receive my NOA2  "within normal processing times".....which I believe will be exceeded this week or next (is that correct?)  Do I have options at this point? What do I need to do? The wait is starting to get to me....please let me know if I am mistaken on the time-line  (of times...processing....etc)

Thank you for your help!

When 5 months have passed from the received date you can put in a service request to see what's up with your case. You can do that by calling USCIS or send a request online: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do

If a service request doesn't help you can contact your senator or congressman for help.

Thank you! I know you have experience with this situation  (I have read your posts) I truly appreciate your help.

I tried the congressman....they said I had to wait until August.

I will put in the request tomorrow....

Strange that the congressman would say that. Try the senator otherwise, not sure if it makes a difference that it's vacation time right now.. But if the service request helps then that's obviously the easiest way to get an answer, so I really hope it works out. I know the wait sucks and it doesn't matter that other people tell you to calm down and wait, it doesn't help anything.

Be patient.... 😝 Seriously though, you're still within the timeframe and I know how hard it is when you're right there and you're checking 50 times a day if there's an update but honestly, try and be patient and I bet you'll hear something within the next two weeks.

After that, it's pretty fast for you guys on the K-1 so you're almost there. Just a little bit longer. 😊

Do you happen to know how long the request takes to process?

I think that differs from case to case. Usually when you submit an service request online you get an automated email back telling you what date you will hear from them.

Last time I put in a service request I got an email saying I would hear from them within 2 weeks. 1 day later my request was "assigned to an officer for response". After that I didn't hear anything for about 1,5 month until my request was assigned to an officer AGAIN, and it was responded to and completed the same day. Then it took about 5 days before I actually received the response in my mailbox.

I just tried to submit the service request online...

It replied "Your application or petition is currentlywithin the posted processing times. And inquiry may not be created at this time."

I will try again next week.
