But I think the main problem with your plan of further study is the relocation. Even if you get admitted into schools in GA on campus, you can't stay committed due to the relocation. Best option would be online campus. You can look at universities at diff states, even in AZ, CA, PA, and more... Websites might guide you to apply via the regular way -> Register a Profile, Submit Application, School will issue you the whatever i-20 or whatever it is so that you can apply for F-1 student via. Don't follow F-1 way, just email their department and tell them you are physically in U.S. legally.

Thank you for trying to help. But i think i just managed to fix this. I was going to take nano-electrical engineering courses here, but I couldn't fine one that would fit my budget. I realized I don't want to get an education in country  that just as good as in Russia. After researching for a week, I found great state university that provides opportunity for distance studying and for 4 year course I will pay as much as $2840 in total. Comparing to $45000 A YEAR here. I know I can be eligible for veteran discounts and everything.  But education in this country is a business that does not worth this price to pay

we did bio metrics in August,  combo EAD card in October.   I did online inquiry in late December concerned that my interview date might have got lost in mail.  (some are saying the online status sometimes never updates even if interview was scheduled)  and got letter in mail saying no interview has been set yet.

 

I have recently been trying to call for a Tier 2,  but they keep saying no more for the day, even when I call early in the morning.

 

status online is still   "As of September 1, 2017, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status  etc."

 

The online account for uscis even shows the online inquiry service request and response from December in the case status.  but nothing after that.

 

I might do another online inquiry,  it seems that would pretty much yield same information if I were to do an infopass.   Cause they actually assign an officer to check my service request submitted online and actually mail out a USPS letter with response.

 

 

I totally agree with you. Field office knows as much as officers online. In the matter of fact, I was visiting field office 2 times and received no respond. As soon as i filed couple of SRs, I received a letter saying to wait. But everyone I was talking to are just saying that I should receive interview date by July.

That is great. Well I have no doubt the Education is Russia is not any weaker than in the U.S. For me it is diff, the education back in Malaysia cannot compare to the U.S. After a full semester of being in a junior college, I find that the education here is better than my home country. I have to spend more than you to acquire a bachelor's degree perhaps, but I am also awaiting for my GC to apply to diff schools, some along with the full-ride scholarship and 2 on my lists of schools are of the least expensive tier-2 schools. Good luck with your studies, and hopefully you get your EAD soon. Oh well maybe just wait until the renewal date and file the renewal of EAD.

Alright I will not be surprised if I will get GC first and then useless and out-of-date EAD will arrive 😂 and good luck to you too with studies

Received "card was to USCIS"  is there some sort of typo? Was it just to inform me that my old tracking number expired? Everything was sorted and address updated ages ago.

They are just slow with updating the case status. Ignore it if you have already done what needs to be done.

Congratz, I assume this is the GC? Since your signature already indicate that you have EAD. Did you go through interview? If not this may be your GC interview is being waived.

Just wanted to post in! We have been waiting for a while too, our case was accepted in mid july.  We did get an RFE for a tax document in October and replied within the first week (overnight mailed back).  We never heard back which I hope is a good sign, after that the EAD/AP was approved and mailed in early January.  There was some weird mail issue and it got returned, so we moved and then updated our address.  They still have not send us a replacement.

 

Has anyone from the July 2017 filers gotten a green card yet? We never got an interview scheduled.  I just updated my timeline on here.

In the same boat here with me. My card returned in November and I am still waiting for them to remail it back to me. If you got a response for your service request, just wait

Thanks!  We also had an RFE in October.  I promptly sent the reply back (literally same day), it was for a sponsor due to my taxes and I got a very qualified sponsor and completed all the required documents in great detail.  

 

The status never updated online at all and I never got any further letter.  Is it safe to assume they got my evidence and are just still processing? Does anyone have experience with similar situations?

It's normal. I guess. Immigration officer said they received documents and and everything is fine. All what's left is just wait until they will be able to send your application to the field office where they can schedule an interview if you will need one. If your status got updated online on "your response for RFE was received" you should not worry about anything. If it's still at RFE was mailed, then call them or make an infopass

I got an email saying that my green card is in production. The email says they will deliver it within 30 days but when I log in to USCIS, it says it will take 120 days to deliver. I dunno, guess I will just have to wait. I was surprised to receive the approval though even without if we didn't have an interview.

Hi... Yes, I didn't go through the interview. I was actually surprised. I'm expecting an interview schedule but instead, I got the GC approval.

Well Well, it looks like you are one of the lucky one. Did the letter states how long will it take approximately for you to possibly get the GC on hand? 180 days?

This part is a bit nosy, how many pages of docs altogether did you submit? Did it exceed 100-200 pages? Did you submit photos and evidences of your on-going relationship until wedding days ? Haha I am hoping to get waived for the interview too since we submit so much of evidence, but it looks like ours are taking a long time to process.

Congrats to everyone who got an approval! I have not got any updates yet but I know they say that they usually update statuses around this time of month so I will hope tomorrow brings some news!
