No. I'm sure I did not make a mistake. I saw your message and gave you my opinion. While your case is in NBC, you cam move no problem. Anyways that what I was told.

I agree with you though. There are good people and very informative and helpful. I am still waiting for i485 interview or decision. But I don't care. I can wait whatever time it will take. I am just annoyed that for the money we are all paying for documents to be accepted, we would all expect better service. I'm just judging from my experience with EAD. Like I mentioned before, card was mailed back to NBC as undeliverable. I went to field office and officer said that he filed SR. And card will be with me in 10 days. 10 days later I came back and another officer told me there is no SR recorded. He placed another one and told me to come back in 10 days. After that I left another 3 SRs and all of them were ignored. I guess one of those were replied because I got a letter asking to give them another 60 days.

Dang, that sucks. You should have SR raised by yourself and within 30 days if there was no response, you can start calling USCIS, inform them that there are no response to all the SRs you have raised despite you waited for 30 days. That will trigger them to forward the call to Tier-2. With Tier-2 Officer you can get better information as they can access to the system and see what is happening with the case and what actions have been carried out or when are they going to send the card out next.

Hey, all. I just found out that there is another USCIS tracker that updates more often than the USCIS.gov.

Here is the link:

https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

On my uscis.gov account, it has not updated since October for I-485 ( RFIE was mailed ) and Case was received for EAD and AP ( I already got my combo card since Dec ).

And when I made an account with the link above, it says on my I-485 that they were scheduling my interview ( dated Dec 6, 2017 ).

It's been almost 4 months from that date, has anyone experience this? Their case said scheduling interview and still waiting for it?

This is what I've been mentioning in my signature previously. USCIS DHS site seem to be directly related to the system they update (accurate and faster update), whereas the uscis.gov one would have issues (in fact my AOS case number is now returning error on uscis.gov site) and they are slow on updating that one. This was told by one of the Tier-2 Officer I was on the phone with.

In regards to "Case is ready for interview to be scheduled" or something similar, it can be your case is still with NBC and they are contacting local office closest to you to check on available dates so that they can mail you the notice of appointment date, or like what JSWH mentioned, transferred to the local office and awaiting to be processed and assign a date. Based on their recent update and also visajourney's profiles timeline, I can see that Phoenix,AZ local office is currently dealing with cases filed in Mar 2017. So Ehri&Mark, there are still people who filed in April, May, and June waiting for their turn to be interviewed, it may take another month or two before you hear about the date for interview appointment.

Edit: Never mind, I checked your profile and you live in Yuma. Never been there, though.

Well. I didn't found out about that until Jan/Feb too. At least you got your EAD before Dec. I filed in July thinking that I will get my EAD in Oct/Nov, but they issued the RFIE only after 110 days from filing date, which totally sucked because it pauses everything. And we wanted to ensure everything we will submit is going to be sufficient for the AOS so we took all the time we can to collect as much supporting docs as possible to respond to the RFIE by Jan. It was through trying to create an account on the uscis.gov page, failed, resulting in my googling, about accounts on uscis page, somehow I got lucky, went into the USCIS DHS site. After account creation I found that the case status can also be checked via there. But all my cases never got updated until I called the USCIS telling them that I have filed 3 SRs and none of it got replied within 40+ days in total. It was then the work permit suddenly got approved and they mailed it within the same week. The other reason might be because my cases active days are above 180 days as of now, they probably want to get it out of the way to avoid degrading their SLA. Next I am just hoping the AOS interview appointment notice will come within a month. I heard my AOS is still in the NBC waiting to be transferred to local office and then schedule for interview. Hopefully it won't take too long. Yes I am in Yuma, but the local office for interview is in Phx. It is about 2 hours and a half away from Yuma to Phx. I wouldn't blame you for never been to Yuma, haha there's nothing much out here. Desert, agriculture, near the mexico border.

I actually did get an RFIE as well, 90 days after filing, dated Oct 5th and I responded a month later. Then after a month of my response, I received my combo card. I was surprised I did because everyone was telling me that the RFIE will reset everything.

I live in Flagstaff. Pretty cool during winter since it snows out here. I've been to Tucson, just a quick drive. And oh, I have been to Malaysia as well. During my visits to KL and Batu Caves and other tourists spot.

We received our interview notice in the mail at the beginning or March. The Interview is scheduled for April 9th. We have all of our documentation since it's mostly everything we've already submitted so many times.

Does anyone have a list of questions they were asked at the interview? I looked around on here some but didn't see many listed.

I don't think there is a list of questions. It is not a naturalization interview so it should not be taken so seriously.  I haven't been in one yet, but i think it is more important to be yourself and answer questions honestly. If you have nothing to hide, you will have no problems to answer questions regarding yourself, husband and his family and your marriage:)

Phoenix filer over here!

I noticed USCIS rolled out a new case processing time page that is apparently supposed to be more accurate. I thought it was awesome until I looked up Phoenix for an I-485.

Current time: 14 to 22.5 months. They're currently working on MAY 2016. TWENTY SIXTEEN. HOLY #######!!!

Making me get scared about my EAD/Travel doc expiring in October if that's actually true. Suddenly spending extra money on an expired medical exam is the least of my worries.

Same s#### happening in Texas. Processing times for Houston office for I-485 are 11 to 25 months. And the cases submitted after November 2015 are not considered out of NORMAL processing time.

Regarding your EAD: submit an application for renewal, it's free. Currently, it takes anywhere between 5 and 7 months to receive a new card. However, with your notice of acceptance of the application for renewal, your current EAD will be granted a 180 days extension. My EAD expires in September and I plan to file for a renewal in May.

You can renew 90 days before your EAD/AP expiry date. But don't expect to get it within 90 days because they cannot guarantee that. I don't think you can file earlier than 90 days too because they would return it and say you have to wait until exact 90 days before expiry date. There are people who tried filing for renewal of applications like 91/92 days and get returned... We were thinking to travel in Spain for a while after I got my combo card, but after reading about all the risks and possibility of still being able to be detained upon returning to US, I've decided not to take any risk, just wait until I have GC on hand for any international travel purposes. Sometimes you just have to sacrifice for the sake of getting something that can help you in the long run.

Glad that you have been to Malaysia :) I have to say though the humidity and temp in Malaysia, still not as bad as Yuma... dry heat with above 90F is crazy.... I cannot wait to have my GC on hand and finish with this freaking hot summer and move to East Coast haha, but then I will have to be prepared to learn to live under crazy Winter in PA !!

I know! I am from the Philippines and the weather there is not as bad as Phoenix. We are planning on moving to Florida when this is over as well. It gets pretty cold out here in Flagstaff during winter but I don't really mind, my husband, however, wants to be near the ocean so we decided to move.

Thanks for the info. I guess I should really just expect the worst that it might still be awhile before I even get the GC. That's too bad! I really wanted to come home for Christmas. I can only hope that I do get it by then.

Good luck to your case! I know how it feels.

I know, that's sort of what I was basing things off of as well! I tried looking up a couple different cities, just to see if everything seemed super lengthy - some do, some don't. Looks like ours is one of the worst though.

Kind of a bummer! I've been so happy working and living my life, just waiting for the interview! At least waiting another year only strengthens (in my opinion) our cases because we'll have that much more evidence at our interviews.
