That's good to hear-- our office (NOLA office) is still on cases from December of 2016 as of October 2017 so I was feeling like we were at least six-seven months away but maybe we'll be in there sooner than we think. I'm so tired of waiting!!!

Me too. The wait is really getting to me at the minute. I think that because there's no transparency we're just waiting for a date that we don't know about, we could get a letter in the mail tomorrow or in six months. You just don't know and I think that's the hardest part.

I'm curious if anybody in our group got their green card without interview. I read on VJ for K1 AOS USCIS only interview 50% approximately. But it seems from our group almost everybody is waiting for interview or had interview already.

April 22, 2020 - I-751 sent

April 23, 2020 - I-751 received at Lockbox

April 29, 2020 - Check cashed
??? - didn’t receive text or email confirmation. Ugh!

I'm fairly sure that if you're put in the interview waiver list it takes quite a bit longer than waiting for an interview, so I would assume anyone on the interview waiver list won't have been approved yet.

Anybody in here that applied to the California Service Center? And in the LA or Orange County region to be specific? Just curious where everybody is on their AOS status. On my end I applied for my wife post K-1 visa and haven't heard anything since mid-august when the notice said waiting to be scheduled for an interview.

I mean maybe, but these processing dates are notoriously out of date. I know of many people who's field office is allegedly processing cases as of January 2017 who have had their interview and been approved already.

Chicago is processing cases as of January 5 2017 and there's been a big influx of filers from June and July getting their interview notices.

I was mentioning this mainly because once they are processing cases on/passed your PD then they should give them a call and more likely you will get their attention, but I have seen/lived the randomness of this process. I believe it all depends on the office/officer assigned; complexity of your case; your home country among other factors....

Yes I'm in LA County. Still waiting like you and also adjust from K1. My buddy from LA applied in August and just had his interview. But he was adjusting from a tourist visa not K1. At least we are not alone.

Hey guys

had my interview today, was verbally approved at the end of the interview. The IO said her computer was down so will put it through tomorrow, was not given the 120 day decision letter.

It felt more like a chat rather than an interview, Interview was scheduled for 2pm, we was called in around 230 and was out by 250.

we was sworn in, and ask for Driving Licenses and Passports for both of us.

The IO asked my wife the USC, our address, my full name and date of birth.

She then asked me the same about my wife.

She asked If we had any more evidence to give

- mortgage letter

- car insurance shows both or names

- blank check from joint account

- a 2016 and a December 2017 joint bank statement

- our joint phone bill

she kept all the above but also I took our joint credit cards which show the same number

we still live with the in laws which we explained cos we were saving money and she totally understood.

Then we we spoke about how we met, when, who proposed, how proposed, where proposed, what’s our future plans.

also asked if my wife had met my parents in UK, she hasn’t except by Skype, due to my mom can’t fly and I can’t leave the country, we explained that we plan on going home in the summer.

The IO went through a scrapbook I’d done, and our photos, she loved the photos of our dog and asked for 5/6 for our folder.

Went through some of the Yes/No questions, she was laughing at some of them and what she had to ask.

After that she said I am approving you today, and she will put it through either tonight or tomorrow.

I am patiently waiting for the text/ email update from USCIS

I will answer any questions if you have them

I was verbally approved yesterday, and then last night  it changed to card being produced.

The interview process was just like a general chat, we didn’t do any practice interviews we just went in open minded and all was good

It is been 150 days since my biometrics and 101 days since I got an approval on my EAD and AP. Still no interview date or any update on that matter. Anyone of you has the same situation?

I know I should be grateful that I already have my EAD but there are companies who are still apprehensive to hire me due to my status or maybe I am not really qualified. :( though thank God finally I got a job offer after half a year of waiting.

Anyhow, when I called the call center, our local office is processing applications they received last January 2016 :o

This process timeline shows other applicants from Visajourney for AOS at New York City field office. It seems they are currently working on 2017 March cases. This data might be not accurate, but it can give you some ideas about current processing time in your field office.

PD July 3rd 2017
Interview - 31st Jan 2018 Baltimore
GC in Hand - 7th Feb 2018 ( 7 months)

A week after my interview was approved on the day my Conditional Green Card came today.

The GC starts from my file date not my interview approval date.

For people waiting over a year, by the time you get approved you’ll be applying and paying again to remove the conditions 6/9 months later

Do I send my current valid EAD back or just chop it up
