Hey guys, any idea what this notice might be for coming today? (Image below)

It looks like it says:

Notice Type

Class: C

Valid from:

I submitted a SR for my EAD being outside normal processing time in November, and on Dec 12 they said an officer had accepted and completed the request. Nothing has been updated on my online USCIS account and I haven’t yet received an interview appointment.

thanks!

My EAD/AP approval letter looked like that. Then a few days later my combo card was in the mail.

Did you contact your congressperson and/or ombudsman about your EAD? If so, do you think it helped? Or did you just go, "F it, I'll wait and see how long it takes?" I'm in the last category at the moment but am starting to wondering if I should consider the first.

Hiya, sorry for getting back to you kinda late. We did talk to our local congressman's office, they contacted the USCIS for us back in November and I don't personally think it did much. They basically just sent a standard message back to us saying the case was being processed. We called 2 more times after that, I spoke to a T1 officer (no help and they tell you wrong information). Then we requested a T2 officer - wait time was like 280 minutes. They called us back and pretty much just stated the same "case is being processed" statement I'm sure you've heard. I did submit 3 SR's on the I-131 and the they never got replied to or completed. I did 4 SR's on the i-175 and they all got replies/completed. The first 3 didn't have anything special - just "case is within normal processing time" even though it took us 180 days. The fourth one was answered the quickest - I filed it on January 2nd and they completed it by Jan. 4 and sent an email stating the EAD and AP were approved. Card was just mailed yesterday!! Just hang in there, we thought it was never going to happen. :D

Thanks for sharing. I've been torn between wanting to contact someone and not doing anything at all. My case has been untouched by me and USCIS for the past month and a half (so it seems to me at least). 180 days is a long damn time! We are somewhere between 160-170 so we're getting close to that too. You did way more than I have so perhaps it's time to contact the ombudsman and shake our file out of the tree (hopefully).  Congrats on getting the EAD/AP! Must be SUCH a relief.

You could try, I'm not sure if it did help though. We got the Combo Card yesterday! It came surprisingly fast so at least you have that to look forward to. Once you get approval, you can expect the card very soon. Thank you! Yes, it is a real relief! :)

Edit: Oh by the way, I submitted all my SR's for the I-765 online on submit case inquiry. The ones I did on the telephone never got assigned or completed!!

Sorry for the late reply. I was on the phone with the immigration officers for the following two weeks. They made an administrative error and could not figure out why I had not received my card and everything looked fine. Then out of nowhere we got an email saying that I missed two fingerprinting appointments and that we have been put in the queue. Called the immigration officer and told them they need to expedite as I never got any letter and such a long wait. I was literally crying on the phone. Received my letter last week to go in for biometrics to process EAD and I485. Went for my fingerprinting yesterday. However, the wierd thing was they actually wanted to take a picture and fingerprint of only 1 finger. Talked to an immigration officer on spot and got told that it was really wierd for getting my EAD approved without fingerprinting and that It was so rare. He said I should be getting my EAD in less than three weeks now.  I am assuming they didn’t do full fingerprinting because I am from Canada and Is a neighboring country. My I485 was placed on hold as well because of this.

I actually have no idea. I assume it is just a general update (maybe they use the same general update for AOS interviews and Naturalization interviews??)

I was actually surprised we got an email stating our interview date. I haven't heard anyone that had this, our letter should be here next week though.

Hi! I had that same concern but according to the USCIS website, all business will proceed as usual. https://www.uscis.gov
