Yesterday I finally received my green card! I'm so happy and relieved that the wait is over and that I can work and go visit my family back in Spain!

Received a status update on my case this morning on the tracker that my case was scheduled for an interview. Ironically enough the new DHS website didn't update but the old tracker did.

Congratulations! 

 

I contacted my congressman, they're submitting an inquiry into our case. I also submitted another 2 SR's for both the EAD and AP. I called and spoke to an T2 officer today (250 minute wait callback.) She sounded like she was reading a script and also said that an RFIE for the i-485 pauses all documents and that's why the AP and EAD are not being processed or approved. However, the other officer I spoke to last week stated that an RFIE doesn't affect the EAD and AP as they're separate documents. 

Hopefully that isn't the case but we'll see.

We got an update from the website first and the approval letter a day or two later. From approval to receiving the card at the house it took 5 days :)

01/31/17.... K1 Visa Approved

02/03/17.... K1 Visa Received in Hand

06/05/17....Arrived in the USA (LAX)

06/24/17....Married on Cape Cod <3

 

07/10/17....Sent AOS package (I-485, I-131, I-765)

07/17/17.... AOS notice date for NOA1 (I-485, I-131, I-765)

07/21/17.... Received mailed hardcopies of NOA1s

07/29/17.... Biometrics Notice received in mail 

08/01/17.... Biometrics Appointment AOS - complete (walked in)

08/07/17.... Biometrics Appointment EAD - complete (walked in)

10/23/17.... EAD/AP card delivered to house YAY!

My online status  has changed to new card being produced, I got the text today. 

 

SO now I’m waiting on the approval letter and card

I received the call from T2 an hour ago. Just the same, I was told to wait. And so, I would. 😔

I was fortunate I have been able to work during this whole AOS 

 

my case ease went from being received to new card produced, thankfully 

 

Since Monday I have had congress enquire for me, I have spoke to Tier 1 who put another SR in for me and spoke to Tier 2 officer,

the timings perfect, my work visa expires in 10 days so I shouldn’t have any issues with not working

Awesome! My husband received his EAD approval the same day as he received a job offer for a position that he had be interviewing for over 3 weeks. Timing always seems to be perfect! Hopefully it will continue this way :)

It took 5 days from the website saying approved to showing up at our house. I signed up for informed delivery (I was impressed because they do it in Baltimore). And it will show you the moment they ship it and the estimated delivery date of the priority package!

 

Also probably good just to have informed delivery in Baltimore in general. I have lived in Baltimore for 7 years now and there was a period of time 5 years ago when my mail was disappearing. Also as you are probably aware, packages tend to disappear in the city on occasion. Good Old Charm City.

Mines skipped the approval stage, online just straight to new card being produced. Which I’m hoping speed things up for me
