So I just called USCIS to follow up on my i765. I am on Day 94 with NOA date of July 31 and I noticed that a few August filers have been approved already. A Tier 2 Officer called me back and explained that the 90day processing time is no longer followed. He said that processing time depends on the backlog your service center is trying to clear. I thought i765s are processed only in Missouri but I didn't dare ask. He also mentioned that they are only doing i765s as of May 10, 2017. I asked him why there are July and August filers that have been approved. He said it is because of the background check they do and how tedious it is for each case. I begged for him to make a followup request for my application but he told me, he can't even enter an expedite request because my case was still under "normal processing time." This sounds contradicting to me because he said earlier that it depends on the backlog so there shouldn't be anymore "normal processing time", right?

I don't know which is more frustrating - having to wait for so long with no certainty or having to talk to someone supposedly with authority but with futility. 😔

Completely understand what you are felling and thinking.....this is exactly why I do not call them, everytime you call a different agent pick up the call and provide a different answer.....frustrating. Hanging there your time will come.

Pointless calling them, even if you get an RFE and ask them what part to submit they give you story about how they can’t help and then read from a script

This person that you talked to read the processing times that we all have access to. But they didn't read it correctly because it says "May 10 - as of Aug 31st", so now it should at least be July cases. It is frustrating when we can do a better job than them, when it's their job. I would suggest you call back and talk to a different person to raise an SR. When I called I had a very nice lady who was very understanding of my concerns, and I also called a few months ago and talked to a very nice guy, so for me it's been good but when I see that some of them are saying they're still on May cases it really annoys me because this is their job.

To be honest with you, processing times and all information shared by USCIS is a mess.....I doubt that opening SR or calling them will help at anything.

After 3 Service Requests I finally got a reply today saying 'your case is currently under review'. I'm sure this is just a generic response, so I don't know if it means anything.

We are super grateful ours went so smoothly. My husband received the card in the mail the same day he received a job offer he had been interviewing for during the past 3 to 4 weeks.

Hello everyone!

Finally status on EAD and AP changed to card was mailed!!

Our financial situation isn't very good and I would like to start working but we have a baby and I am not ready to give him to daycare just yet(no family who could watch him), so maybe any of you here have any advice of some online job that wouldn't need some impressive skills?

Even making a little bit of money would help a lot

Congrats  :)

I live in Baltimore , which congressman did you contact,

Go to https://www.house.gov/ , enter your zip code, and click "Go."  And this tells me who my representative is right here.  And if click on their name, you can get information on their offices.  You can contact their local office or their Washington D.C. office. This is how you can contact your member of the House of Representatives.

For a Senator, you will go to http://www.senate.gov/ and go to the state where you are from.

You can contact anybody.  But don't contact everybody.  I think you should be little mindful about wasting resources, and it also becomes problematic, so just stick with one.

My wife's EAD (I-765) and AP (I-131) were both approved on October 31st.

We got a notification via the USCIS app that the EAD card was mailed to us, and it showed up at our house on Nov. 4th. But we never got a notification that the AP was mailed to us, and it did not show up with the EAD card.

Is this normal??

We had a similar problem, received AP in like 30 days, green card in around 90, still no action on EAD. It isn’t normal I think, but does happen occaisionally.

In our case, it’s all good since we received green card, good luck to you
