I'm worried because I just checked and it looks like my field office is doing interviews from Nov. 2016 which means we may have to wait a whole year??? 

This was according to the USCIS website too. 

It'll be San Francisco. They have the same timeframe on their website.

 

I wouldn't be so concerned if I would, at least, get my EAD. It's already day 104 after NOA.

Yesterday I finally received my green card! I'm so happy and relieved that the wait is over and that I can work and go visit my family back in Spain!

Received a status update on my case this morning on the tracker that my case was scheduled for an interview. Ironically enough the new DHS website didn't update but the old tracker did.

Yeah, that's a big one. We're struggling being a single-income household in Louisiana, if you're in the San Francisco area I can't imagine how tough it must be :(

Not yet because it looks like our EAP and AP are being produced now and we should get them by the end of the month.

 

I'm going to start raising hell if we have to wait a whole year for an interview for a green card, because that seems like it should be illegal! Having to be completely on hold for a year with no indication what your status might be...

 

I'd call my senators and ask for them to intercede but based on the other calls I've put into their office in the last few months I'm not sure they'd be willing to help me :unsure:

it is common in some states for the GC interview to take a year - I am expecting that here in Minnesota - I have seen some cases here take around 16 months...

the annoying thing is that the medical will have expired by that stage and it will cost money to get a civil surgeon to complete a i693 if it is requested

Yeah that's 100% bull if you ask me... That's another $400 or so and we still won't have a green card. I will definitely be calling my senator.

I sent my application on July 26, biometrics was on September 1 and my status is still the same (they received) for AOS, EAD and Parole :( I am from Colorado Springs CO.

We had the same update (or lack of update) and our Combo card EAD/AP arrived in the mail yesterday. Still no AP update on the website but we have the combo card in hand which means it was approved and we can travel again :)

08/01/17.... Biometrics Appointment AOS - complete (walked in)

08/07/17.... Biometrics Appointment EAD - complete (walked in)

10/23/17.... EAD/AP card delivered to house YAY!

and online is now saying case approved on October 13th so still waiting:(

Wow!! how long should we wait for the actual card? Mine said it was mailed Oct 20. :(
