Go to the USPS website (www.usps.com) and sign up with your address, and then used the "Informed Delivery" feature they have, and it will show photocopies of each letter sized mail (up to 10) arriving to your house that day, usually updated sometime in the early morning each day. Then, there will be a "Packages" tab up top, which will show you any package that has been shipped to your address, and where from, with all of the tracking info of that package.

Hope that helps!

It was really helpful! Thanks a lot!

Hello all, I signed up to share me and my wife's I-130/I-485 & I-765 & I-131 process (wife being the beneficiary), since reading other people's experiences helped us.

AOS/EAD/I-131 Timeline

July 14, 2017: Mailed out our I-130 and I-485 together (which was to be processed concurrently - also, 95% of our marriage bona fides were sent with original packet - this did however exclude her medical exam, which was to be submitted at the interview), alongside I-765 EAD and I-131 Application for Travel Document

July 17, 2017: USCIS acknowledges they received our applications

July 20, 2017: USCIS sends out a NOA for each application

Aug. 8, 2017: Biometrics appointment completed

Aug. 31, 2017: AOS/I-485 Interview notice received, which was scheduled for October 10th

(Still, absolutely no movement at all on the EAD or Travel Document applications)

Oct. 10, 2017: Interview scheduled for 10:30am

We arrived 30 minutes early and ended up getting called back around 10:45am. The Officer ended up interviewing us separately, about 10 minutes each, and for the most part, very basic questions (or what should be considered basic questions for a married couple). My wife (beneficiary) went first, and I second. I saw the Officer comparing my answers to hers, and taking random notes upon my answers. After the questions, he then went on to explain which type of Green Card she will receive, if her I-485 is ultimately approved. While he walked me out to the lobby where my wife was waiting, he ended up asking her a final question regarding which name she wanted on her Green Card (married or maiden). We ended up leaving feeling like it went very well, and took his last question to my wife as a good sign, so long as the sealed medical exam we did submit at the interview ended up meeting standards.

(Still, absolutely no movement at all on the EAD or Travel Document applications)

Oct. 14, 2017: Received USCIS I-130 approval notice in the mail, which had an approval date of October 11, 2017

Oct. 16, 2017: USCIS online status of her I-485 was approved, and it said an approval notice was mailed to her

Oct. 18, 2017: USCIS online status for her I-485 changed to, "My Card Was Mailed to Me"

And as of today, USPS shows a letter from USCIS will be arriving in the mail (which I am assuming will be her I-485/AOS approval notice), while the USPS tracking # for her card shows an expected scheduled delivery for tomorrow, October 20!

(Also, there is still no movement on her EAD or Travel Document applications, which I'm assuming will be cancelled/disregarded seeing as she will have her GC tomorrow)

Our entire process seems to have moved along very quickly considering the average times I have seen (and was told by our attorney), which we feel truly blessed about, and are both extremely excited to receive her approval notice and GC in the mail.

The approval letter in black and white and her physical card in hand will make it all feel real!

I hope this might help anyone out there in some way, or at least help calm anxiety while going through this process.

Good luck everyone!

Congrats on your green card approval :) and your EAD/AP will be cancelled. Good Luck :)

Just wanted to share my recent experience with USCIS. My EAD and AP was approved October 13th. Today I called since the case status hasn't changed to card is being produced. I asked a lady who seemed nice enough when I could expect my EAD, she replied that it takes up to 60 days, so I asked her if she could see whether production of the card had started. She told me it hasn't. Discouraged I sat down to check my informed delivery 10 minutes later for other reasons. To my surprise I see that my card is supposed to arrive on Friday. Although I'm happy that the card is on  its way it makes me wonder if the people  there just make up stuff as they go. Anyway best of luck to everyone on their journey.

I got my notice the other day ( 10/18) so I was expecting the card will be delivered within this week. I have been checking the mailbox every day still no letter. Apparently, i have to go to the post office to set up informed delivery. Anyway, should I expect the card to be delivered after a week or does it varies?

ROC JOURNEY

02/13/20  --- ROC packet sent

02/18/20  --- ROC packet received Texas Day 0

02/21/20  --- SMS notice received EAC (Vermont)  Day 3

02/26/20  --- NOA 1 received - Extension Letter  Day 8

03/16/20  --- NOA 2 received dated 03/06/20- Biometrics schedule  Day 27

11/05/20  --- Notice of transfer of case to NBC  Day 261

02/26/21  --- Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview  Day 374

I am sure it can vary depending on a number of factors, but I have never gone through this before so I am no expert. But, what you can do, is go to USPS' website (www.usps.com) and sign up for an account with your address, and you will be able to use their "Informed Delivery" feature to track most mail/packages that are sent to your address.

Called up a Tier 2 officer asking for my tracking number. A very rude man answers and says "your card hasn't been produced, i cant tell you when it will be produced", I explained how my case status says "card has been mailed". He said again, "your card is still in production, i cannot tell you more information, is there anything else i can help you with?". 30 minutes later I checked my informed delivery at it says my card has been accepted by USPS.

Shows how incompetent the staff at USCIS are...

How long before you will receive the card from the notice of approval?

I got my notice just now and i was wondering how many days before they will deliver the card. The prospect company i applied for doesn't want me to go to their interview without the ead card. But i will still try to send them the copy of notice just in case they will consider.

Today my temporary EAD card was mailed but the interview for I-485 hasn't been scheduled. I just want to share my AOS timeline (I-130, I485, I765, I131 concurrent filing) for anyone interested. If you have any question feel free to ask away!

Day1   - 07/17/2017 - Case accepted by National Benefit Center

Day22 - 08/08/2017 - Biometrics was taken at Oakland,CA

Day61 - 09/16/2017 - Change of Address requested online

Day84 - 10/09/2017 - Online Service Request raised

Day93 - 10/18/2017 - Online status changed to 'EAD Card Ordered'. I-485 remains 'Ready to schedule interview'

Background: Adjusting from B2 Visitor visa; Marriage-based application; my spouse (U.S. Citizen) is the petitioner and I'm the beneficiary

P.S. One complication to my case was that we moved within the state in September. I'm not sure if the Chang of address delayed the process a bit. On day 84, I submitted an online SR because the status for I-765 & I131 was still 'Case was received'. I'm getting a little anxious but it finally went through yesterday! There was no 'Case Approved' status change for my I-765 though.

I might be the slow ones among those who filed in July. Good luck to everybody and those who are still waiting!

Congrats on your EAD approval. I don;t think it has delayed the process because most of the July AOS filers have been receiving their EADs. You are on the right timeline. By the way you may update your timeline on VJ so that it will be easy to assist in the future.
