Yesterday I finally received my green card! I'm so happy and relieved that the wait is over and that I can work and go visit my family back in Spain!

Received a status update on my case this morning on the tracker that my case was scheduled for an interview. Ironically enough the new DHS website didn't update but the old tracker did.

8/16/17 --- AOS Packet received Chicago USCIS Day 0

8/21/17  --- Received email & text notification

9/01/17  --- Biometrics letter notice for I-485 & I-765 & I-131  

9/11/17  --- Biometrics Appointment Done

10/17/17 - Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview

11/30/2017 - EAD/AP Approved
12/01/2017 - Card in Production
12/05/2017 - Received Approval Notice in the Mail
12/06//2017 - Card Mailed (Priority Mail) to Me
12/07/2017 - Card Received 

1/19/18  --- Interview Date 2/21

2/21/18  ---  Approved on the Spot

  • 1 hour after the interview received uscis mobile app alert
  • Status changed from "Interview is scheduled" to "New Card Is Being Produced

2/26/18  --- Received hard copy of NOA for the Green Card

2/26/18  --- USCIS Mobile Status changed to "Card was mailed to me"

I feel bad for the people who got RFE in late notice, just hold on. Nothing we can do but to wait patiently.

The long wait is really awful. I feel same for them and pray they get theirs soon so they will be relieved from this undesirable stress.

AP is in case you need to go out of the country prior to issuance of Green Card. It is better to include it with AOS & EAD applications for easy monitoring ( i guess) with regards to the reason why do you need to travel, I am not sure if it is for "emergency" only.

I just received an informed delivery notice today and have a letter from immigration. If it is addressed to me the Petitioner it can't be good news can it? I would assume the EAD would be addressed to my husband :( 

 

01/31/17.... K1 Visa Approved

02/03/17.... K1 Visa Received in Hand

06/05/17....Arrived in the USA (LAX)

06/24/17....Married on Cape Cod <3

 

07/10/17....Sent AOS package (I-485, I-131, I-765)

07/17/17.... AOS notice date for NOA1 (I-485, I-131, I-765)

07/21/17.... Received mailed hardcopies of NOA1s

07/29/17.... Biometrics Notice received in mail 

08/01/17.... Biometrics Appointment AOS - complete (walked in)

08/07/17.... Biometrics Appointment EAD - complete (walked in)

10/23/17.... EAD/AP card delivered to house YAY!

You can never tell. Just wait till you receive and open the letter. Don't presume anything , it might not even be about EAD approval or anything. Since you are the petitioner, it might be about your I-130. It could be anything. But I pray it is not one of those not too good news. Have faith!

Good luck, my wife is the petitioner and the only correspondence addressed to her is the I-130, but keep everything crossed

That's what I am afraid of, I know I shouldn't be hearing anything about the I-130. I don't know what we could have missed.

 

Ugh We will be really frustrated if that is the case because my husband is hoping to expedite his EAD this week with a job offer, I don't know what will happen if we get a request for more evidence. I can't think of anything we missed and I make well over the requirement (sent in all the same paperwork for our K1 to prove it). Ahh my mind is going crazy :(
