You do not need to submit two different requests. You call USCIS and request a SR for your EAD and once they process if you initially requested for AP, it should came all together.

I filled out the SR online. It only allows you to select one form, I should have specified.  But hopefully that means they should work on it at the same time. Thanks!

Hi guys, I'll share my AOS experience with you here as I applied in July:

I came to Miami on May 26th on a K1 Visa but I didn't apply for AOS until July 2nd. My NOA1 came in the mail on July 28th and I got my biometrics appointment on August 15th, but I couldn't go because I was on vacation. I got an RFE on August 14th because "my birth certificate wasn't translated to English", and I sent my response on August 25th. During this vacation my wife got a job offer in Vermont, and she accepted it and we moved to Vermont, so on August 30th I got my biometrics done in Vermont and my change of address was done on September 15th. As I hadn't heard anything from my response, and it had been 90 days since I applied, I called USCIS to ask and they said that if I had gotten an RFE, the 90 days is reset. I was so mad and disappointed that my wife and I decided to go to the USCIS office in Saint Albans. As I said before, we had gone there already for my biometrics, and this time the person who attended me was the same one, a very nice guy who seems to take his job seriously, like any other person should do. We explained that we got an RFE for my birth certificate and he said that what he could do was have my documents sent to his office and they would take a look, he took note of my wife's and also my phone number. This was last Monday, October 2nd. Today he called me and said they had received my documents and he had talked to his supervisor and everything was accepted and I was going to receive my green card next week. I couldn't believe it, I think it's been one of the happiest moments in my life, I was so relieved and happy that this was over, as I had been for months without hearing anything (I think you guys know that feeling).

I understand that in Florida there are more immigrants than in Vermont, but the person who said I needed to translate my birth certificate when it was already translated? How is it possible that a person can so easily do that without thinking that the immigrant has to be EVERY SINGLE DAY without going to work? without making money? without BEING ABLE TO DRIVE for god's sake.. I really hope that every single one of your guys' cases are checked by people like people who checked mine in Vermont.

Hi everyone, Im just wondering what are the reasons you provided on the Advance Parole form? I skipped that one cuz I thought it was too complicated. But now I need to apply for one. It says it should be for "humanitarian" reasons only.

Congrats! Now it’s time for you and every other person who has gotten their EAD to get a job so as to keep mind/soul and body busy till when it’s time for I-485 interview or approval. Good luck everyone. Now on my way home to see what has been delivered in my mail box

Yes! finally the crazy long wait has ended. I’m not gonna care for greencard for now , knowing St.Paul,MN works a ton of time for it. I’ll just let time pass by by keeping my self busy working and saving money.

Congrats to you as well.☺️

I feel bad for the people who got RFE in late notice, just hold on. Nothing we can do but to wait patiently.

Goodluck everyone.
