My EAD card arrived with today's mail. The status on USCIS website still says "new card is being produced".

I received an approval notice today in the mail regarding my AP and EAD, 10 days after I filed a service request for follow up to USCIS. Im so happy! Now, we have to wait for the actual document to be sent. I wonder how long does it takes for me to get it?

I tried to check my case status online right now, but it’s showing some kind of error. Could it be they are doing a maintenance work? Can some pls try to check now and see if you can track your case. Meanwhile I was told I will have response for my EAD within 3 days.

Hey there

How exactly should I go about expediting my application?

I have a really good job offer lined up and they want me to start by October 16th. My 90 days will be October 11th.

Would what you recommend I do?

Thanks

Well first of all if there are 90 days and you still have no answer on your EAD you defnitely should call USCIS and ask them for a status. If you do have a Job Offer it is a different scenario because you then can call them request for an expedition process based on a job offer. They will send you instructions on how to provide proof.

Okay I’m curious. Today is the 90th day without hearing anything about EAD or AP. Though I submitted an SR last September 25th. They sent me a confirmation email saying to expect a reply by October 17th. Should I call USCIS as today is the 90th day or just wait until October 17th?

Well....its up to you. What I would do is wait until Oct 17 since it was their date for the SR you opened.

I see. Well technically I don't have the job offer quite yet, but I have another interview today and I'm sure I'll get the job. It's a great opportunity. They will want me to start October 16th or they may retract the offer.

I actually put down on the application that I could start October 16th as my 90 days is 11th

What can I do in the meantime to ensure I get the EAD ASAP?

Thanks

You cant work without an EAD. The commitment you made wont happen if you dont have your EAD and assuming that it is only 6 days from today, honestly and frankly it is hard to believe that you will get EAD in the mail on Oct 16.

I was just reading your reply when I thought of checking my email to check my mails for today (informed delivery) and I saw I got this coming today. Can this be an EAD card? I hope so!

Yup I know, I doubt I'll get it by Oct 16 which is why I'm asking.

What would you recommend I do in order to get the EAD as fast as I can?

You can call and tell the officer you want to check your status. When she see 90 days is up, she will take note and possibly give you an estimate of no of days you have to wait. The good thing is your case may be forwarded. Even with my job offer when I called this morning, she said there was no need sending them the job offer, she will take note because I did SR and it will be due in three days so I will get a response with 3 days.  Fingers crossed. I will still call back again on Friday if nothing happens. My SR was on sept 28th.
