Awesome, congrats...how long did it take from the time you summited the request to receive the card? How was the entire process? You called USCIS? submitted your job offer???

I called the USCIS helpline and requested an expedite based on "severe financial loss to a company or person", then I received a letter a few days later telling me to fax proof of my job offer to them. Here's a quick timeline to show things more clearly:

07/11/17 - Filed I-765 (along with rest of AOS forms)

07/14/17 - Received NOA1

07/31/17 - Called USCIS to request expedite

08/14/17 - Biometrics appointment

09/05/17 - Case status updated to "New Card Is Being Produced"

09/08/17 - Case status updated to "Card Was Mailed To Me"

09/13/17 - Received card in the mail

So the whole expedite process was frustratingly long in the end.

Sorry, my computer went a bit weird and it submitted it before I was finished typing. I've edited it now.

Congrats! Our local office is jacksonville as well! Hopefully we get some notice soon too before we lose our minds haha our timeline so far:

July 26 we sent the package

August 2 we received text messages with the receiot numbers

August 6 we received the letters in the mail with the receipt numbers

August 12 we received the letter for biometrics appointment

August 24 biometrics

Thank you! Hopefully you'll get yours soon. Overall the Jacksonville office seems to be below average for pretty much all processes!

Whats your timeline? How long does it usually take to get the ead card after the biometrics?

My biometrics was on July 31st, EAD status changed to' New Card Being Produced' on September 12. I did request an expedite based on a pending job offer though.

Congrats. Did you get a notice in the mail for your EAD before you saw it online? Or was it online first?

Was a stressful journey full of ups and downs, cya in 2020 VJ. I'll be back when it's time to begin the dreaded I-751. Biggest advice - make sure you have a TON of evidence, be completely honest and you'll be fine. Good luck everyone! =)

To those who expedited and succeed, I am aware that they asked for a job offer letter for some (or everyone?) people to process an expedite. But I have a question, is that the only thing that they really want? Or I can like show bills and bank account or something? There's a lot of job opportunities from where I am but I am scared to even submit an application because I'm not really sure if they will accept me if I don't have my EAD yet. I don't wanna ruin the opportunity, like they hire me, and then I don't have EAD on hand. My NOA1 was July 13. I am guessing I'm not getting anything until November.

That's a good question and I'm interested in the answers of others.

Re: job applications, I started sending out my applications though I disclosed that my EAD will be available sometime November. According to my hubby, the hiring process takes time so I was hoping that by the time the EAD is available I am ready to start.

Yes I'd be curious with expediting my application based upon a job offer, as a friend has said his boss would give me a job/interview installing internet for Comcast! It's a great opportunity for me to find my feet being 1st job. But as of now I keep telling my friend October probably November.
