Thanks @PedroDaGr8. Is there a way to check processing times for an particular office? In my case Milwaukee WI. As far as I can see on VJ i can only check processing times for a process (AOS, EAD, K1 etc...) but not for a office.

Hi T_P,

I actually filed my application last June 30 and they gave me a letter stating that they need to confirm my data from DHS mainly because my name is long ( i have 2 first name :D) it took them more than a month to verify my info. I called them last Tuesday and by then they confirmed my application and i got my card today. I should have call them for follow after 4 weeks.

I suggest, call your local SSA office and make a follow up. Do you have an application reference number?

What exactly is a application reference? When I applied for SSN they only gave me an receipt that only gives basics instructions, but there is no tracking number or even anything.

Hello, what is needed to be able to apply for SSN?

I have SSN already but it says that its only good with work visa(since I had J1 wich is expired now) so I would like to get an updated card wich wouldn't say that.

I applied for AOS,AP and EAD, have receipts of all of them.

Also is it usually enough to have receipt of AOS to get DL?

Hi Editah,

I don't think you need to apply for a new SSN  maybe just get a new card with a notation " Valid for work only with DHS authorization" just like mine unless you have the same notation as mine which is ok because you just need to provide your employer a document authorizing employment (EAD).

Just to be sure, you may call your local SSA office to confirm.

RE: DL

It depends on each state. Here in NY, they don't accept NOA, must be SSN unless i can get a letter or certification from SSA that i am not eligible for SSN ( thank God i got mine). Same goes with opening a bank account. Suggest to visit your local DMV to get full info.

Hi guys, news on my case. I had my biometrics appointment in Florida on September 15th but I just moved to Vermont a couple days ago as my wife got a new job. This morning I went to an Infopass appointment and they told me I could get it done there. I didn't expect it at allbut I'm so happy this happened! Anyone can tell me how much longer approx. until I get my EAD?

Question Anyone ?

Would it be an issue if you filed your adjustment (AOS) after the 90 day period ( even thou you got married before 90 days) ???

I was out of status for 3 and half years and I filed this July and currently waiting for any result. I wouldn't advise waiting longer when you can file for AOS because of the way immigration is as of the moment.

Hi there :)

I filed I-130 for my spouse and we received a notice of action on 8/7 and an appointment for biometrics in Salt Lake City on 8/11 for 8/23. We are adjusting from a B2 visa.

All in all we filed I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765 concurrently. We filed on 7/5 and received a rejection because we paid too much. We received the whole package back on 7/22. I wrote a new check and sent it back on 7/24.

I'm confused about the processing times of I-130 and I-485. Under ucsis.gov USCIS Processing Time Information I can look up the I-485 processing times at my local office but not I-130. Under National Benefits Center (also known as MSC) I can't find the I-130 neither. There are the Service Centers CSC, NSC, TSC, VSC and YSC however I don't know which one my I-130 belongs to. I received my NOA1 with the address of Lee's summit and an MSC case number.

I want to know:

First, how do I look up my I-130 for processing times?

Second, it seems that only the I-485 is moving right now. Once this is approved, what happens to the I-130? Will it be automatically approved also? What is the next step for my I-130 now? Will I get like a transfer notice to one of the Service Centers?

I appreciate a little insight and thank you everybody :)
