Another appointment notice? For biometrics? Why is it separate days? I got both on August 9 - I-485 and I-765, at least that's what it says on the notice.

Received a status update on my case this morning on the tracker that my case was scheduled for an interview. Ironically enough the new DHS website didn't update but the old tracker did.

We received an second appointment notice for an EAD today. Is this normal? We already had the biometrics appointment. Thanks! 

01/31/17.... K1 Visa Approved

02/03/17.... K1 Visa Received in Hand

06/05/17....Arrived in the USA (LAX)

06/24/17....Married on Cape Cod <3

 

07/10/17....Sent AOS package (I-485, I-131, I-765)

07/17/17.... AOS notice date for NOA1 (I-485, I-131, I-765)

07/21/17.... Received mailed hardcopies of NOA1s

07/29/17.... Biometrics Notice received in mail 

08/01/17.... Biometrics Appointment AOS - complete (walked in)

08/07/17.... Biometrics Appointment EAD - complete (walked in)

10/23/17.... EAD/AP card delivered to house YAY!

I'm curious, does your first biometrics notice says only for I-485? Mine said both - I-485 and I-765. I saw on @venom123's post that it's normal. That you can ask when you go the first time if you can take both.

It only said I-485 on the first notice . We already had the biometrics appointment earlier this week so we are trying to call and ask... so far with no luck.

Yes apparently its normal and you have to go to the 2nd biometrics appointment as well.

07/12/17....AOS Packet arrived at Chicago Lockbox - Day 1

07/19/17....NOA 1 Email/Texts received 11.23pm - Day 8

07/22/17....NOA 1 physical copies arrived  - Day 11

10/17/17....We Have Ordered your new card (EAD)   - Day 98

10/19/17....Card Mailed! (EAD) - Day 100

01/12/18....Scheduled For Interview (EAD) - Day 185

02/13/18....Interviewed and Approved for 2 Year GC! :jest:   - Day 217

02/14/18....We have Ordered your new card (2 Year GC)!  - Day 218

02/15/18....Card Mailed (2 Year GC)!  - Day 219

 

 

Was a stressful journey full of ups and downs, cya in 2020 VJ. I'll be back when it's time to begin the dreaded I-751. Biggest advice - make sure you have a TON of evidence, be completely honest and you'll be fine. Good luck everyone! =)

Yes , first one for I-485 on august 8

and I-765 on August 18

lucky you got the same day schedule for ur GC and EAD

same here , I received biometrics appointment today for EAD . And it's different schedule.

Anyone else get 2 separate biometric appointment letters?

My wife got one for her I-485 and then one for her I-765. But they are 11 days apart.

From doing a bit of research on here I guess she can just do them both at the same time?

Hi everyone! We filed our AOS, AP and EAD 07.06.17. 

 

We received two biometric appointment letters. 

I-765-08.08.17

I-485-08.18.17

 

I called the number on the notice and was advised to take both letters to the first appointment. I did a little research and found out you can walk-in for an appointment. My husband completed the biometrics for both applications yesterday.

Awww really? I wish I had my biometrics yesterday. We have the same biometrics appointment aug8 and aug18

Received another biometrics letter too ugh, it makes no sense to me to have to do this twice for the the same USCIS entity. This one is for the EAD and 1 week after the GC biometric appointment. I won't be taking any more days off work and hubby only has a learning permit to drive, so I'm going to ask to complete both on the same day when we show up for the GC biometrics appointment. For those who plan on asking to complete both biometrics on the same day, please keep me informed on if you were able to do so. 

K-1 VISA

10/14/16-1-129F application mailed to Dallas, TX

10/21/16-NOA1 via text and email

10/31/16-NOA1 hard copy received, name misspelled, contacted USCIS

11/09/16-NOA2. Received text stating case was updated. Checked USCIS website, case listed as approved

12/07/16-NVC case number received

12/08/16-CEAC status: READY

01/25/17-Medical completed

02/21/17-Interview-approved pending medical 

03/02/17-Visa issued

03/09/17-Visa in hand

05/12/17-POE-Atlanta

06/17/17-Wedding 

 

AOS

07/01/17-AOS, EAD, and AP application mailed to Chicago, IL via USPS

07/05/17-Packet delivered
