Well I can say from experience that I had no issues doing an early walk in this morning. It was totally fine and the two security guards were laughing and joking with me about it, saying they get early walk ins all the time.

Awesome, going to try my walk in on August 2nd, I'll let you know how it goes!

Dear Fellow July Filers,

We sent our AOS paperwork on 7/11/17, both checks were cashed on 7/27/17 ($1,225 and $535), and we received text NOAs for forms 130, 131, and 485.  Today we received the mailed versions of those NOAs, however, we also received a rejection notice of form 765, noting that "The payment amount is incorrect, or has not been provided".  Can anyone shed light on this?  I'm confused, since the check amounts were correct and were cashed.  I'm planning to call the NCSC tomorrow morning.

Thanks for your help all!

My husband is going to try and walk in early for his biometrics today. Will let you know if it goes well :)

We figured out in Maryland that his Australian Drivers license expires in two days (and he missed the yearly renewal for his old Maryland license by a couple days... so he has to retake all the classes and tests again *sigh*).

So he going going to try and get his Biometrics while he can drive himself and go in for his license test and classes in the next two days.

This happens a lot lately. I have no idea if the staff are just incompetent or just too busy to even check everything. I-765 is free when you file I-485. Just print your I-485 receipt notice and send the I-765 application back with your copy of receipt notice. You might wanna include all the other requirements for I-765 like 2x2 photos and copy of identification.

Yeah it was in Maryland. He had to wait for 2.5 hours until they had an opening to see him. There are a lot of immigrants in this area so I am assuming they might be more strict for that reason with the walks in. It definitely wasn't an in and out experience that some people describe but he was able to get it done :)

Thanks for the response!  I was able to connect with an officer over the phone.  It turns out I had the eligibility category incorrect, as my wife has an OPT EAD and I thought it was c3b.  It's actually c9 instead.  The notice about the payment being incorrect is a generic message when something is off.  I'm resending the corrected form with the photos, and the 485 receipt.

Good luck to you as well, congrats on the biometrics coming up!

Didn't know that that's a generic message. Thanks for the info! And good luck, yes hope all goes well in biometrics as my wife's passport as identification has been expired. But she will bring another form of identification. Thank you.
