Hey guys, when can I get my social security card? Do I need to wait til I got the green card in my hands before I can apply for ssn? Never really had the chance to get it while my I-94 was valid.

My guess this will be the same as getting vaild drivers license. You need the I-94 or EAD (in our state) once the I-94 expires my husband is no longer allowed to drive in the States because there is no formal paperwork that provides you qualify in the transition.

We did find out however there is the possibility of getting the EAD expedited if you receive a formalized job offer. You have to claim financial loss and file your formalized written job offer. (I guess you qualify because you will have a loss of wages if you can't take the job because the EAD isn't ready). So he is full on job search now with the hopes of getting a formalized offer (fingers crossed). There are lots of threads with people who have done this successfully.

I'm confused about the length of time it will take until my wife (married on 5/24/17 on a k1 visa, applied for AoS in July) can become a US citizen. I've read most places that it is 3 years after she receives her green card. But others say it is technically 2 years and 9 months after the date we got married. If she has to wait until she gets her green card that could add on another year until she can become a US citizen.

Anyone know the correct answer with valid sources sited?

If I am not mistaken it's 3 years after she is a legal permanent resident.

Same here I received hardcopy of noa1 for i485, i765 i131, I cant track the EAD 😢

Would that mean they disregard the I EAD then focus faster to GC processing instead?

haha Im just looking on it as positive thing 😂😂😂

It might just be a computer glitch if it says invalid. But I like the positive thought!

Ours is the same. We have the hard copies in hand. I don't think it means its not being processed, its likely just a computer glitch or someone probably has been able to enter them as of yet.

I'm also able to track my I-130, I-485, I-131 and my I-765/EAD is also invalid. However I received all 4 letters, including the confirmation of processing the I-765

Don't worry about it, they're just being slow at updating the EAD form i guess.

Hello all,

at the G-1145 do we write both names Applicant and Petitioner? I am a little confused if we should put both names and infos (my husband and mine) at the same sheet.

Thank you again, your help is making us not spend money with the attorney! :)
