I got biometrics letter saying I don’t need to Ake biometrics.

did anyone got a mistake in the zip code? Apparently they have my wrong zip code but I still got the letter (street address is correct).

I also got a letter with the wrong zipcode, and in my case a biometrics appointment at the wrong Application Support Center. I live in Florida and have an appointment in Illinois.

That is so bizarre. Did you change address after you submit your package? In my case I did and then I submitted address change online (I want to believe I put the right zipcode). I called a while ago to verify they got the new address correctly and they said yes. This is the first document I receive at the new address from USCIS.

Are you going to call them? I plan to call tomorrow to verify they have the right zipcode. Let me know how it ends, best of luck!

I just received my biometrics notice dated may 4 2017. It says in the letter that the ASC is in South Carolina and I’m from vegas. Is it possible that I can just go here in our local office?

Guess what? I got a letter in the mail today! I got my biometrics appointment letter. Finally! After 10 months!  I wasn't even expecting one anymore. I thought they would reuse my old biometrics. It's not an approval letter, but it's great to finally hear from them. In a month or so, most of us will be eligible to apply for citizenship anyway. Did anyone receive their biometrics letter this month?

Same here i just received mine today after 10 months of waiting for this notice.

Congrats to those waiting for their long await biometrics appt.  Yippee!

Strange that the July 2017 I-751 is a buzz with this....and June is silent.  Weird....maybe it's a sign???

Anyways, @tdtoca, while I was visiting Canada I went directly to the passport office and got my passport renewed.  They asked me if I wanted to keep the old passport and I said yes not because I needed the expired I-94 visa but because I wanted it in my hands and not someone else's.  That visa is not needed so let them keep your old passport if you wish.  Yes, as soon as you get your new passport back book an info pass appt and get the stamp.

If your field office is one of those super busy ones and you have access to securing an appt one month out, I would start hunting down an appt as soon as you send in your renewal application, otherwise you've lost another month.

On another note, you might want to look into passport mailing fees, it's ridiculously expensive.  If you have a trip to Canada planned and a passport office is nearby, you just might want to co-ordinate your visit accordingly.  I don't know if they still allow passport pick up in person for those not expedited, but if they do, this is the cheapest option.

Thanks Mrs Thb!  I was planning on going back in Aug or such but then my brother says why spend 700$ plus just to renew the passport.  The main reason i would is to ensure that the passport is not lost! On the other hand, I have several relatives who renews via the mail with no issues.  I need my passport renewed as I have planned a cruise Jan 2019.

All the while I am thinking only about the Canadian passport and not what the expiration of the extension truly  means... can't travel ( well you can but you won't be allowed back in ) and it will affect your work status!  So yes as soon as i get back my passport, i will be looking for a INFOPASS appointment.!

If anyone is in the Sacramento area and have any experiences with this local office, please let me know.

I’m one of those that got the wrong zip code with the biometrics letter. The letter said they will reuse my biometrics.

I called tier 2 USCIS agent to verify they had my correct address. He said yes they have correct address and zip code. He said someone put the wrong zip code when they send it by mistake. I think he received a lot of calls before me related to this issue because he was upset about that. He said that since they will reuse my biometrics I have nothing to worry about.

He he said that I have to make biometrics appointment on July (3 months before green card expiration) to get another one year extension.

All- I’m sorry if this question makes me sound like a complete idiot :) , but how in the world do you select a different date to search for available appointments? I click on the date at the top, but it never changes the available appointments below? It always says “please select your appointment time for (and then always has today’s date). I can’t figure out how to search ahead the 14 days!!!
