Who here, if anyone, received a reminder notice to begin the ROC process?

I did not and have not moved.

Curious in knowing...not that it matters (I filed earlier this month) but would like to know why I didn't get one if this is standard procedure.

I did get mine on May

I got one, however, it was sent to our old address where we haven't lived since March 2016...fortunately we know the people who live there still, but it concerns me that the address changes I sent through for both me and my husband (the USC) when we moved last year didn't seem to go through. So I updated both of our addresses again this May and I got a letter confirming the change on my husband's address, but nothing confirming my change of address...

I feel like I began to be afraid of having deal with USPS..

In 2014 we sent a package with a paperwork  to evaluate school/university scores in to USA credits. Evaluation centers are only working with originals, no copies. So, yes, original  Diplomas and  academic transcripts were sent.

Tracking # showed it was delivered and signed. Great! But in some time we learnt the EC has never received our package. So, we filed a claim with USPS, and meanwhile started our own "investigation". We found the company our packet was delivered by mistake, contacted them and they were nice to drop it to Evaluation Center, which was just few steps away from the company.. and from the USPS Office as well.

Of course, we have never heard anything back from USPS  - they have not even tried to contact the company, despite the fact the signature and address was really easy to track... for us, at least.

Now - 2 USCIS letters (NOA & ACS Appointment) have not been delivered to us...

I understand things happen, but every time I have to mail something important, with sensitive info inside -  freaks me out until package is delivered..  And what happened to janet&adonis   - just horrible...

the thing with USPS is they never miss spam mails. lol

We got one about a month or so before our open window it was sent to an old address and was forwarded to us and  included a form to change our address, which freaked me out cuz I hadn't done that, so I did it that day online and after we sent our package in we got the one year extension at our current address

That was my situation as well. My window opened up at the end of May but we were away for a month and I didn't want to risk it. I sent it within 10 minutes of getting back home though and it did feel sooo good to finally have that package out of my house!!

It was my understanding from the other threads I've read that it has to be USPS and that I should not ask for a signature since it is a P.O. Box. I did send it insured Priority Mail with tracking which from what I've read seems to be the right way to go. I remember someone saying somewhere that you could send by courier but that you needed to locate the physical address seeing as they can't courier to to a P.O. I didn't want to chance that as the I-751 instructions page only mentions the box address so I figured better to just follow their instructions explicitly.

Thanks, Yeah I will do USPS with insured priority with tracking. I have joined MYUSPS so I can track.  I will submit mid next week.

Good article, thanks!

Also true - some people have both, I-751 and N-400 interviews at the same time, due to I-751 "pending forever"..

P.S. Still don't get WHY ROC takes that long though...

Do they really do interviews for roc? We got waived for aos. Only interview I did was for the k1

I've read in several different places that 10% of cases get interviews...the majority being red flags for fraud, but I've also known of a couple cases in which it seemed to be totally random (and in one, the interviewing officer said as much to the couple, that they were't flagged for fraud or anything but that USCIS needed to fill a quota for ROC interviews and that couple was part of the 'random' pile they picked from...).

Weird... I didn't get one... at least not that I recall seeing....

Our window to file opened  right after we bought a new house and moved. We sent off the change of address forms (but have not had any reply). My I-751 was sent off on Monday, so we'll see what they say now....

I always get a little nervous about the amount of evidence - my file want's terribly thick or heavy... but we just bought a house together, sent off stuff showing we were added to his benefits, joint tax filings and shared financial accounts... a couple affidavits from friends (one sworn), and some pics of random occasions over the last couple years... all together it was maybe an inch thick.....

I joke that if we get called for an interview, I'll walk in, slap down my Canadian passport and say "Really - I gave up OHIP for this! You better believe this is legit!"   LOL!!
