To tell you the truth, our online status still states that our case has moved to another office.  We received approval letter on March 5 and Resident Card yesterday in the mail.  The uscis.gov website is definitely not giving updated information.  Set up an account at the other site: myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov .  That site has tracked us well, although it has posted misinformation also saying that we were denied on an appeal (we were never denied and never appealed anything) and also said it corrected birth dates and name changes; all of it not true.  So, just be careful of what is seen online.  And remember, if you are truly a married couple, you will be approve.  It's difficult to deny an i-751 case without evidence to the contrary.  Everyone will be approved.

birth date and name changes/updates happen to every case,  i think, that are the matching points for a case, they have to check them,  once that is done, the system will have to update that

I’m so happy for you coz you already got your greencard. :):) so did u received an e-mail or text alert about your status that has been approved? Are u a csc or csc filer?

God has perfect timing; never early, never late. It takes a little patience and it takes a lot of faith but it's worth the wait. ❤️

quick one,

are you all going to apply for the citizenship (N 400) right on July time frame (90 day window). or rather wait until getting the greencard back.

I guess I am not clear yet on the timing, will the I 751 get bundled with the N 400 now?

thanks :)

I am a July filer csc, I will be available to apply for N-400 mid May but I am not sure, my husband wants me to apply asap so guess we are going for it.

It’s April already and I start to wonder what will happen to the extension letter. How do I get an other one? Do I have to set an appointment and go by the local office to get a new one?

You are not getting a new one. But you can make an Infopass appointment and get a I-551 stamp in your unexpired passport or I-94 from.

Closer to your Extension Letter expiration date.

But it also depends on your local office when you should start trying to make an appointment. Mine, for example,  next week availability. Some offices - you have to be on "overnight duty" to catch any openings..

But again - if you don't need to provide your employer with proof of your status, or your Driver License doesn't have to be renewed, or you are not planning to travel internationally - you are good without stamp. Not really necessary.

I’m a flight attendant , fly in and out the country all the time so I really need it.

can I go like 90 days before the expiration date ?

You can try...Some offices don't really like it, some - fine with that.. You never know.

I am, personally, going to do the same. My son needs another O-551 stamp, in July. "My time" would be September, but I will try to get a stamp for me along with him. If not - will have to make another trip, closer to an Ext Letter expiration date.

In your situation, I would like to think the IO would give the stamp 90 days out. I would bring sufficient documentation that you are a flight attendant.  It really depends on your field office.  I'd start looking at how easy it is to secure an info appt.  first.  This will give you an idea on when you need to start hunting down an appt. Some offices it is extremely difficult to book an appt, others are relatively easy.

I was turned away when I went for my stamp and told to return after the letter expired meanwhile a friend got their stamp months in advance at another field office.  I often wonder if that's because she had to drive several hours whereas I did not.  Who knows??
