Case Was Received

On July 10, 2017, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number xxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice.

What is this CRI-89? 😮 I’m pretty sure I didn’t say that a couple months ago that I checked my status. HELP

CR - conditional resident I believe.

CRI-89 receipt # is the number on your Biometric App. Notice. It usually has two numbers - one is the original I-751, and another one is CRI-89...

I know it's confusing and I don't really get why they issue two different numbers for the same process...

Well I signed up on the uscis site and all it says is:

July 11, 2017

We received your case and waived the filing fee

Read the notice we mailed you for more information about how we will process your case

We will begin processing your case and will review it to make sure you have submitted all of the required information and documents. We will let you know if we need anything else from you.

-> what do they actually mean by waive the filling fee?

That's another "confuse" :)

Since you've already paid for I-751 (original #), your CRI (this # is given later, after  ASC app. has been  scheduled) is fee waived..   since it's the same process...
