I-751 July 2017 Filers

Hi Guys,

I've read a lot of things on here and I'm confused what I should do about the next steps. I first got my GC on the 09/2015, I filed back in early 07/2017 to remove conditions at the CSC office, got the i-797 NOA/year extension letter. Never done biometrics as they said they will use my previous ones. Now my looking at my GC/extension letter the date it will expire is 09/18. So the CSC processing times are going back to 2016 and looking at the forums people are either getting passport stamp or some are filing for citizenship without the i751 being approved. Should I wait for the CSC to process my i751 first and get these extension stamps or should I file online for the N400 90 days before GC/extension letter expiry.

pros/cons for doing either? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Just a heads up if you're planning on researching something on the uscis website....they'll be down tonight fixing glitches I imagine.  And for those of us hopeful of local office transfers.....let's pray and keep our fingers crossed.  Read item one being addressed.

I also saw the same notification when searching for my case# (the one in I-751 from NoA, that was useless before).

I'm one of those that never received biometrics notification letter. Now after this strange notification when I login in to USCIS page and add the new case# (I-751 from NoA) and loot at the history of the case I see the following:

"On September 28, 2017, your Fingerprints/Biometrics, referral number ################, was completed."

Which makes sense to what other people that did not receive biometrics have seen: that biometrics were transferred form old case. I hope we receive any good news soon

A bunch of we July 2017 filers (and many who filed in even later months right up to Feb 2018) saw notice (only if we logged onto USCIS website and used first reference number) on Feb 25, 26, 27, etc. that our files were transferred to local offices.

A wave of euphoria ensued.

Anyone gotten any actual movement on their cases?

Not to fan the flames on if this is a glitch or not, but since when I actually click the link to check my wife's status online the next 2 weeks doesn't matter to me, because I still fully expect to be waiting until Fall 2018, I can wait a week or two and check to see if the date I conveniently look is the same date it's transferred and report back.

Also, and I'm not a mod here, but let's try to not be a douche to Leo.  The whole "you're wrong don't quote me again" comments are not necessary.  Leo has more knowledge than most of us combined.  While we are all frustrated at the waits, it's not going to help anybody if we act like we have sand where sand shouldn't be.

Regards
Mike

Today, we received in the mail, an I-797 "Congratulations! Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved.  You are deemed to be a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States as of the date of your original admission or adjustment of status.  You should receive a new Permanent Resident Card ... within 60 days."

We were greatly surprised and didn't expect this for another 6-9 months.  The letter is dated Feb 28, and yet, the online status says that our case was transferred to our local office on March 4.  Seems backwards.

Congratulations! Can you please tell us your NOA date and also the service center you filed at? Did you receive the letter from the service center or from a local office? Any info you can provide will be super helpful. Also, did your case status change last week like most of us about transferring your case or is March 5th transfer the first update you saw?

Thanks!
