When I said you can put in any number I meant, of course, any valid number.

 

I put in my own valid number and guess what, it said my file transferred to local office on that very day !!!

 

People who applied Feb 2018 and put in their number, and got message their file was transferred on that very day that they checked.

 

Those who have not checked their own first reference number, can put it in today, and be assured they will get message that their file was transferred today.   If they wait until next week to check their number for first time, the message will say their file was transferred that very day.

I checked mine yesterday, it said that day.  I checked mine today, it said yesterday.  So that statement you made is not correct.

I said that whatever day you chose to check for the first time, it will show that your file was received in local office on that day.

 

Then on later days when you check, it will show that earlier day, not the new day.

 

Another note:  On first day you check, the date shown might be a day earlier or later based on differences in time zones.

Stomo, how was my statement not correct with respect to your situation?

How could you meet the condition today of 'have not checked' if you admit you checked previously on yesterday?

I checked on the 26th and got an error message that the number was not valid (same as before). On the 27th the number worked and said my case had been received that day. I'm not saying that there isn't some kind of system issue, but if your theory was correct then I would have gotten the message on the 26th when I checked the first time.

OK . . . the first time you SUCCESSFULLY check will be the date listed as the day you file was received.

So do we as individuals want to wait something like 14-18 months for 10 year Green Card; or forego the 10 year Green Card and wait 24-28 months or more (from July 2017) to get Citizenship.

 

Doing some math:

 

1) Apply for citizenship in July 2018.  Then no 10 year Green Card can be expected and person will be faced with multiple trips needed to get Passport stamped with extensions.  Citizenship might be received by December 2019.

 

2) Wait for 10 year Green Card which  might be received by December 2018, and would probably entail one trip to get Passport stamped with extension.  Then apply for Citizenship which might be received by June 2020.

How long is the process for the N-400 if you still have a pending I-751? and if you already get your 10 years gc, how long is the process for the N-400?

About an 18 month process from date you file whether you have a pending I-751 or already have your 10 year Green Card.

Then obviously your file is in Australia.

Or there is ESP happening wherein the computer knows a day early that you are going to check the next day.

Wow. That's a long processing time. I thought and read some articles says 6 months.

it doesnt matter if your i-751 is pending, they will process your n-400 in order that they received. N-400 is being processed by you local office. Please check the timeline of your local office to see what month and year they are processing now for n-400.

Nah... dont believe in this check you local field office processing timeline, each local field office have different timeline.
