Hi July 2017 Folks.

 

Just a suggestion here.

 

I have started regularly (once a week or so) going to read the July 2016 thread.

This provides one with a sense of how this process plays out and gives you the idea that it is best for one's sanity to not focus on what is happening to us day to day or week to week.

It is going to take close to a year from now for most of us.

When you get your bios done is inconsequential since no ROC is going to occur for a year anyway.

Stop stressing; enjoy life.

Update: I called USCIS and talked to a tier II person about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday, I finally received a letter saying that they can use my biometrics data that's done in the past, and I don't need biometrics this time. Probably, this could be the case too for the people who are still waiting biometrics appointment. Honestly, I don't think the online service request is accurate because I also received an email stating they're still in the process of scheduling my biometrics appointment when I didn't need one...

I just got the same letter! I went in for an Infopass on Oct 11th and was told that I'd be put into the next batch of appointments for biometrics. I received a letter on the 21st (dated Oct 14th) that they will use my AOS biometrics and no need to come in.

 

Very happy and makes you wonder... how is this not already just part of the process? wouldn't all I-751 have had biometrics done in < 2 years? Not complaining, but just makes you shake your head at some of the processes the poor USCIS employees have to deal with.

No; they are in a box on the floor of an office.

When we were in office earlier, most of the workers were gossiping out in the hallway and doorways.

I called USCIS again today. My receipt date was 07/24/2017. I filed a service request on 08/25/2017 which they responded to on 09/06/2017 saying "we are experiencing longer delays bla bla bla" 

so today I was trying to get transferred to a tier 2 but she didn't want to. She said the offfice that takes care of appointments is in Virginia, and there's no way to contact them directly. She said I should have gotten the appointment by now. So we filed another service request, which they have 30 days to respond to!!! This is a joke. its soooooo frustrating!!!!!

I called on Friday and was told that I hadn't missed an appointment and that they may be using the previous biometrics as well. I have yet to receive a letter saying the latter. Hopefully we get it on paper too...

I am personally still waiting to get my biometrics letter / appointment.

After multiple calls and an Infopass appointment I was told I would get my letter for my biometrics appointment and instead got a letter saying they would use my previous biometrics. So I am now waiting for approval, or interview, etc.

No news for any of us; but, we plan to ask our state senator to call on our behalf.  We've done this twice before and although we are told that a Senator cannot speed things up, for us, we received action pretty quickly.  We are waiting until six months after filing our papers, so January will be the month we will start this action.  Maybe nothing will happen, but at least it's another contact to have on our side.
