Hello guys!

Quick question..does everybody got their biometric appointment already? Me still waiting and I'm getting frustrated 😭😭😭

I still haven't receive it and I think is the same for half of CSC July 2017. What I don't understand is why some August 2017 CSC fillers did receive their biometrics.

I contacted the USCIS and this is what they told me:

"What We Have Done:  USCIS has reviewed your Service Request and determined that your application is still within normal processing times. Please note that posted processing times are goals based on Field Office averages. These goals are subject to change and can vary from office to office.
What You Can Do: If you do not receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days, please contact the National Customer Service Center at the phone number below."

I am still waiting even though I called them  and they put in a request for CSC to schedule me. I even got a receipt number (that will be on that Biometrics letter) that I can track with and all that gives me is ' On jul 21,2017 we received blah blah blah".

Thought I would update . I am still waiting for my Biometrics letter. I received my NOA-1 on July 28th. In addition to all this, my NOA-1 was missing my apartment number on it.

I've called a few times into USCIS for a status update. First time, I was told just keep waiting and that the only way to update my address was to go in person for an infopass appointment, second time they put in a status request for the biometrics letter and I received an email that told me nothing (Something along the lines of: You applied for I-751 and when we received your application, we automatically put you in the queue to receive a biometric letter).

I called again this week and escalated to a Tier II person. I was told that while I could update my address online, but the only was to be sure that it happened was to go in for an infopass and that my biometrics was just delayed and no one knows why. I was able to get the trackable case number from her. She said call back if I don't have my letter by Dec 25th.

Today, I went in for my infopass appointment. The person there updated my address and verified the trackable case number. She also said that she put my case in the next batch of biometric letters (She said that they do the letters once a week on Fridays and then it takes about 1-2 weeks to be delivered).

Lastly, she told me that my case was supposed to be at the CSC, but it was actually sitting in Nebraska (First I heard of this). She put in a request to move it to the CSC

So hopefully I'll get a letter now in the next couple weeks (Hopeful, but not super hopeful). It did make me wonder if a bunch of applications meant to go to the CSC that arrived in the end of July accidentally all ended up in Nebraska instead.... would that explain why so many people that applied near the end of July are all delayed?? :)

Call USCIS and asked to be transferred to a Tier II officer. Let them know it has been over 30 days and you haven't received the letter and ask them to submit a request to send the letter.

I think that was the wording I used when I called. I've learned, you need to be very specific with what you're asking

Hi,

Thanks so much for replying. I called them but they said that the processing time for a biometrics appointment is 6 months and therefore I should continue to wait. They submitted a request, but said it can take up to 30 days to receive an answer. I am so confused.

That's interesting. That is not a response I've gotten yet. That said, I get a different response every time!

Did they give you a tracking number? You could call back and ask for it. They have access to it, but you may need to ask for a tier II officer to get it. The first person who answers the phone can't do very much.

Hi members,  i was scheduled for biometrics on 13th september but due to hurricane Irma,  the Jacksonville center was closed. I called and they said they are setting new dates.  It's been a month of waiting for a another biometric appointment. I have been calling uscis and the representative gave me options including an infopass. So, a friend of mine has appointment at Jacksonville centre on 19th Oct, it's 2hrs drive for us. I was considering catching the ride for an infopass. When i came from work,  i found the biometric appointment letter for 24 Oct , what do i do.  I already had requested personal time at work and it's approved. I cannot take 2 days like that. I wanted to catch a ride, but i dont know if they will turn me away.

The time spent on setting up and sending the letters, they probably could have scheduled the appointments!

I was told I'd be added to the scheduler last week.. I'm not holding my breath!

I guess the letter is better than nothing? ☺
