I sent out 7/13, NOA received on 7/17, Biometric done on 8/7/17

USPS informed delivery is showing immigration related mail for me! I received NOA on August 9th - so if it is biometric appointment, that is pretty fast!

Can it be  a request for more information? Will see today hopefully

I doubt it would be an RFE, seeing as they already sent your NOA, which means the minimum requirements (payment, I-751 form, photocopy of your GC) were met. An RFE likely wouldn't come until late next year (at this rate) when they actually crack open your file to look at your evidence. I would assume it's your biometrics. Prior to the sudden stall some of the late July filers have been experiencing, it would be right about on time for you to be receiving your biometrics this week, seeing as you got your NOA a little over 2 weeks ago.

It was my wife's biometrics letter.  Of course it was one of the 2 days in September we had plans, but it's actually the first day we had plans, so we'll just head to the lake after the biometrics appointment.

 

Yes I'm well aware I might be able to do a walk-in, but in reality, I'm taking the day off on 9/7 regardless, so we'll just leave it as is lol.  Arrived 8/25.  Date 9/7.  I'll update the excel for me on MOnday

Drove 2 hours to Pittsburgh on 25 August to complete wife's bio in 5 minutes.  Then 2 hour drive back home.

they submitted a service request, now gotta wait.. they have 15 days to respond. She said there was not a biometrics letter sent, so I know it wasn't lost or anything.

Congrats all!  Are they working backwards? @Roxy18 , wow you have some luck! 

 

I am still waiting for my biometric letters and it has been 30days since my NOA1 was dated. I called Aug 16 and was told nothing sent out. I have since joined USPS informed Delivery and bupkus! If some of us don't need biometrics and we call in, they should tell us ! ARRGH I will have to try and call them!

I submitted my application on 7/29 to VSC and received initial notice on 8/2. I have not received the biometrics letter yet. Do you guys suggest I raise a service inquiry?

I would wait 30 days from NOA1 date and then call.

i just called USCIS. 1, 2, 2, 2 is what got me through and I got to speak to a live person immediately. Thank you for the suggestion @Lara7!

 

I told her that I still haven't received my biometric appointment notice and it has been more than 30 days. She transferred me to a Tier 2 officer quickly. I received a call back in 10 minutes.

 

The Tier 2 officer was a kind lady. She verified my information and told me that my biometric appointment hasn't been scheduled yet. I'm relieved because that means that it hasn't been lost in the mail or anything. They are just slow as hell scheduling those appointments, it seems like. Anyway, she gave me my case number which would be on the biometric appointment notice, so now I can check my case status online on the USCIS website.

Yeah, the wait is frustrating and it is so annoying that they send these bio appt letters randomly, not even in order. 2 August filers have already received theirs (1 CSC and 1 VSC filer). I guess it really depends on how busy one's local office is, but still.

I just noticed that someone put my information on the spreadsheet (thank you, who ever you are ), but my information was mistakingly put under VSC, and not CSC. I'm a California Service Center filer as my profile states. 

 

Can someone fix it for me? @gypsyqueen maybe? Thank you so much in advance! I use my iPad to access this site and have no idea how to do it.
