Sent my package on August 8th, received NOA several days later. Sitting, counting days....

Unfortunately not, since the biometrics letter itself is what holds the receipt number that you'll need to track your case from here on out. The fact that they don't put the tracking number for your case in your original NOA/extension letter is frustrating.

 

Many July filers are still waiting on their biometrics notices, so if you only mailed your package on August 8th I wouldn't be too concerned at this point. If you haven't heard anything after 30 days I would call USCIS.

Right. However, those people who were told that their biometric information was "current" also had their last bio taken at the same time as their fellow same-month filers who had to have a bio appt.

 

So it seems like it's random.

 

But since so many of us July filers are still waiting, I doubt this is the case. I think we will receive a bio appt letter, just much later.

Thank you! I just got an interesting idea from August filers thread that one may sign up for USPS inform delivery notifications. They will send emails with pictures of the envelope's front on a day of delivery. This is something I've been looking for. Only problem  is they only take pictures of the standard mail envelopes  - who knows how the bio-metric app looks like?

Yes! Many of us use USPS Informed Delivery. Unfortunately, you only get that day's envelopes, so it doesn't provide much advance warning, but if you're like me and your mailman doesn't come till 6 or 7pm, then getting that email 12 hours earlier and seeing something from USCIS is a great feeling! The biometrics is like all the other USCIS correspondence and comes in a letter-sized envelope.

I travel a lot, so being able to track it distantly makes a big difference for me) Thank you

Noa1 date is July 24th... still no biometrics appt notice... anyone with a date close to mine that can tell me their status... thank you

These cases seemed to be totally random and there are only a very few, so it's not typical. Most people still need to have a bio appointment. My NOA1 date is July 26th and I will be calling USCIS when the 30 day mark has passed.

I was about to post it!  My NOA1 date is July 24th. Today we got the biometrics appointment notice. It's dated on Aug 15 and the appointment is for Aug 29.

My NOA1 date is July 26th. No biometrics appt letter yet either. There are many of us with NOA1s in the last week of July still waiting for the bio appt letter.

Wow, great news!  Your case is at CSC too and my NOA1 is only 2 days behind yours, so hopefully I will receive mine soon, too!

USPS INformed Delivery ..how do you set this up? I do have an account with USPS but don't recall  seeing this option.

ps: just checked my mailbox and nothing.  I might wait until the end of the week and if nothing, call USCIS again.
